[img_thumb]http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/2576/imiiiage1.jpg[/img_thumb] Next time I'll put some effort into the design
Very nice drawing but, i can't have been the only one who thought the dragon were masturbating at first glance.
sorry, was talking about mine. [editline]16th January 2011[/editline] Oh god I kicked up a total shitstorm. I was talking about my paintan not yours, its too early to say how yours is going to turn out. Sorry, I was tired and dind't think about context Hope you'll forgive me :ohdear:
You are forgiven :buddy:
does anyone have an idea how light should work on this one? I honestly have no clue.
Is the ship on the left organic?
Based on cockroach or something idunno. I'll rework it so the hull breach looks more like a breach and ship doesn't look like shit.

done that and that palette is secondary and I won't give the slightest fuck about it untill I remake it, right now I need to figure out the spaceship placements and design before I move onto fixing anything.
To be honest I think maybe you should move on to a new painting. Fresh start.
Agree. I fuck it up good then start again.
You learn something from every painting
This time I learned that I don't know about lihgintg enough.
It's not that bad, But it's those colors man. and the blurryness
Might not be that bad but still below standerts. For the record I dind't use blur tool for once, it's all soft brush. And I didn't add more sharper detail to planet, like I planned.

The first one's lighting looked as if the star was in-between the two hulks, which it clearly isn't. The sharper lighting on the left ship is a lot more realistic now, but I think in space it'd have even more contrast than that. I don't know shit about lighting though, I'm just giving an educated guess.
reposting my post from the dead thread so that i can get some feedback, particularly on my anatomy (even though it is on a rabbit) just some stuff i made for the 28 carrots later thread. If this confuses the fuck out of you, then look in that thread.
[img_thumb]http://i55.tinypic.com/2vvotoj.jpg[/img_thumb] does anyone have an idea how light should work on this one? I honestly have no clue.
Light is bent by gravity in a subtle way. planets as well as "orbiting" objects tend to have a very unique shading because of this.
I made some clouds.
It looks more like smoke. Clouds aren't as heavy as smoke.
Hay look! it's another fail by me. Or is it? Sketch, soon to fill out. ps, i am taking into consideration a few things i've been shown. The hand will be corrected, and alot of adjustments to the face.
The whole chest area confuses me.
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14329594/LINNNNNNNNNEEE%20ARTTTTT.JPEG[/img_thumb] I fail at line art. (User was banned for this post ("Page stretching" - PLing))
Eyes are too far apart. Some incorrect anatomy sizing. Perspective of gun stock seems a bit off.
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14329594/LINNNNNNNNNEEE%20ARTTTTT.JPEG[/img_thumb] I fail at line art.
It's too detailed to be called line art. It's just a drawing. A drawing with the most squinted eyes I've almost ever seen. It's also silly how he's bending both his knees each their own ways (facing away from eachother). It's extremely uncomfortable to stand like that.
I also fail at drawing. thanks. I guess.
Just some vector perspective work. Still very much WIP, but what else should I add?
That is wrong. Look at perspective tutorials. All lines should meet the horizon point.

It is absolutely wonderful how every block has a different perspective. You did great at making perspective the main focus of this piece.
