that's my problem when drawing.. I can't draw a straight line or circle by myself.. instead I have to move my pencil back and forth rapidly to make sure it looks straight, but it comes out fuzzy.

Vikings huh it Would be really cool if you add colour. But stance looks awkward, dunno I guess it's just me. Btw scanners are dicks some times.

Shading is nice. Needs more high-highlights. Pose out of balance, scrapes look like shite, too deep and feel like paint splashes, Anatomy is quite shit, look at the fingers for example. Whole body has a serious issue of "shit pointing in random directions". Material definition is shit, unless that armor is made of clay. I don't know wether it's the mistake of foreshortening or proportions but left arm. :geno: Start using skeletons and breaking shit down into shapes. Go look up tutorials and do some studies on metals. I pet your head for drawing with traditional mediums. [editline]06:59PM[/editline] You also didn't think the viewpoint through, hence the sword looks funky with that arrow, cause you made the wrong side have depth.

Thanks for the critiques, fellas. This was mainly just a sketch to do before making something digital, so a lot of stuff will be fixed in that stage. Cheers though.

I don't post all of my drawings on facepunch so please don't think what I post here is all I draw. I will try using the skeleton more usefully and this was drawn under severe dizziness due to wind surfing all day long for the past two days, so I think that can possibly explain the proportions... can you specify about the shading? I also think it looks a bit boring but I just couldn't get the feeling I was looking for... ("and you can't remember it to save your life" what'd you mean by that?)

Because of what I see. It's an humanoid, shitty proportions and anatomy. I can pretty much see your general ability from there easily. Bout remembering: you do some shit on one side and then start inventing that shit again on the other side. And post some delicious humans to prove the obvious then.

So yeah basically I'm calling you out and saying that I don't believe that it's a "quick pencil drawing"
