Messing about with my tablet. Think I just about got the hang of it. Used gimp to make this.

I understand its not the best... I could use a lot of advice to improve my drawings.
throw away the tablet and use traditional mediums.

Realism isn't my thing, the last time I tried realism was in my first years of college and that was around 5-6 years ago, ever since then I've been trying to adapt to certain sytles. It's only been around a year since I've been drawing all this zombie and weird-cartoon baloney. My crap before then was... well... crap...
So in short, my academic stuff is beyond terrible and it's nothing more than a miracle that I am where I'm at.

I do rough sketches in Photoshop and do the final lineart in Flash. inb4 "use illustrator." I've used it and I hate it. Flash is much easier to use.
wow, you should really get back to realism. If it's a miracle where you are it's best to keep working so you won't need miracles anymore.

Use construction lines, don't go straight into a drawing without knowing what you're going to draw, develop a style and work on it, make an A4 landscape document and quickly sketch out ideas, try to fill the page & don't finalise anything, look up some illustration books if you're stuck on what to draw: [url]http://www.scribd.com/search?cat=redesign&q=How+to+draw+cartoons&x=0&y=0[/url] Their all free on there.
You should be moderately good at drawing after following that. Tablets aren't that great for drawing straight onto a computer so practice like hell if your'e serious about this stuff.
