that sketch is more hairy than a furry convention. everything is out of proportion and made wrongly from the start, and you're worring about some unimportant jetpack? I mean you don't even draw the full pose or anything, nor do I see basic shapes anywhere. Look up tutorials on basic drawing on drawspace.com or something.

And yeah, don't do small scratches/strokes, do long sweeping ones. And maybe change the brush, it doesn't seem to be support that very well.

Proportions are off, if you're trying to make it realistic you're off to a bad start because there is no pose to draw in detail off of, just stuff like that.

even if you weren't goin for realism it's allready a lost cause. Everything you do will make it go nowhere, fast.

His eyes and nose are off, thin the nose a bit and change the eyelids, and his cheeks are off, make them chubbier.

should've used the grid method or something. But you did quite okay without it.

that is a bad font to use for the LEFT and DEAD why not download the actual font

Because i can't. It's made in an in-game editor with the fonts and decals it provides, and none of them were appropriate. It's an xbox 360 game.
