[QUOTE=St33m;22586966]dead space 2 antizipation doodle [img]http://www.filedump.net/dumped/slasher1276461680.PNG[/img][/QUOTE] How exactly do you go about coloring like that? It looks great.
[QUOTE=Maya2008;22594289]redid the cloth: [img]http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/164/e/2/Ochen_Psysche_by_fadingz.png[/img][/QUOTE] Looks [I]much[/I] better.
thanx xD
I still have no idea what his character is like at all from his design, and he would still probably blend into a crowd of office dullards, and his arms are still at least half a foot too short. But it's still much better.
Lynn is an angry person but is actually warm-hearted inside, and Ochen is a mysterious guy. You just don't know what he is up to, but he is kind only to one person. (That person is not Lynn) I'll fix his arms

Would this count as creative? [IMG]http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/1111/watfuntimecopy.jpg[/IMG] I was pretty excited about my new tablet and this was the first thing that came into my head. I need a doctor...

[QUOTE=Fergeh;22602256]Bzzzzzz... [img_thumb]http://img529.imageshack.us/i/vuvezelaherosmaller.jpg/[/img_thumb] How do img tags work now? Its not [img]link[/img] anymore?[/QUOTE] You have a / at the end of your URL. [img]http://img529.imageshack.us/i/vuvezelaherosmaller.jpg[/img] Your link is also invalid. 404 Not Found You need to copy the "forum code".

(That person is not Lynn) I'll fix his arms[/QUOTE] Could you point to me exactly what makes Lynn look like a angry but warm-hearted person? Because I don't see it. And what makes Ochen look mysterious? I also no signs of him only being kind to only one person in the world. Really, all I can see is two dull persons that could have been placed in a crowd of normal people that are there only to fill in the background and you wouldn't have seen a difference. You need to give them character traits, show their past histories in their clothes and especially in their skin, face and hair. You need to design a character that gives off a story just by looking at the character. That isn't a job that is let alone for the story to do, the story needs to cooperate with the character.
I made a mistake. :saddowns: [img]http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/165/0/3/OMG__Saved_on_the_Same_Layer_by_Maishida.png[/img] I accidentally saved the censor bar on the same layer as where the body was drawn on.
:v:

I tried some photoshopping. [img]http://www.cubeupload.com/files/9a7800wastelandshopwaterma.png[/img]
too much noise on the fog. Over usage of burn tool xD. Try to use layering of color with blending.
[QUOTE=Maya2008;22604112]Try to use layering of color with blending.[/QUOTE] I am a beginner, I'm using GIMP and thus I have no idea what those terms mean. About the huge amount of noise, that was pretty much intentional.
[QUOTE=Joazzz;22605694]I am a beginner, I'm using GIMP and thus I have no idea what those terms mean. About the huge amount of noise, that was pretty much intentional.[/QUOTE] How comes you love terminator so much :v:
[QUOTE=Maya2008;22603897]The two front and back views are for the clothing design mainly, I'll insert a third view which has dynamic posture to detail their personality.[/QUOTE] But that's the problem. They way they look should express their character. For example. [img]http://charliewen.typepad.com/photos/god_of_war_2/kratos.jpg[/img] Kratos. The lack of clothing denotes animosity, the red tattoos show violence. The bald head and strong eyebrows show anger. That's what character design is about. And I know, you're not making God of war. Alright, let's look at something else. [img]http://tialix-play.de/data/pics/user/pics/hitman_front.jpg[/img] Agent 47. The featureless bald head with a bar code stamped on the back implies he is single minded. The red tie and otherwise featureless black attire suggests his hidden violent intent. The gloves show professionalism. Everything about a character is a part of their personality. If a character doesn't look like how they act the audience is going to find it harder to connect to them.
[QUOTE=Dclone2;22594345]How exactly do you go about coloring like that? It looks great.[/QUOTE] have lots of spare time and an idea of what youre doing.
got bored, did custom cover art [img]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/ampsychcustom.png[/img]
[QUOTE=Rusty100;22610499]got bored, did custom cover art [img]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/American%20Psycho%20v2.png[/img][/QUOTE] Are you using templates that you made where you can just throw an image on and it will wrap itself?

Right now, the characters are wearing uniforms, so they should rather look unified. can't have teared school uniform as I'm not going for anime or manga xD. Also, the point of uniform is to take away 'uniqueness' from individuals; like the gi in martial art. I will give them a few sets of personalized costumes too, which will contain a lot more personality. Thanx for the tips ^^
[QUOTE=onox37;22614856]Are you using templates that you made where you can just throw an image on and it will wrap itself?[/QUOTE] nope i traced/vectored the case myself from a photo i took, and manually transform and skew the cases on and use a multiply layer.
A 1 hour speed paint I did of my friend. Not too bad for being half asleep at 3 in the morning. [IMG]http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/7001/webberb.jpg[/IMG]

made for friend, looks like poop :downs: I love working with acrylics though. [img]http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs281.ash1/20842_10150190658150372_583035371_13197748_926467_n.jpg[/img]
Got bored, decided to see if I can transpose an image onto a bottle cap using an XACTO knife. [img]http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/2926/dosxh.png[/img] Turned out okay, the photo I started with was a bit blurry so I had to guess a few of the lines, and I went too far with one of the strokes. I guess it's fine for a first attempt.
I never got into acryllics. I like working fast, and it takes too long to switch paints. I also don't like cleaning my brush. Egh. [editline]09:22AM[/editline] I just noticed, Maya, why does the vest on that character have nipple lines? I'm pretty sure weaving doesn't work that way.
