This time I'm trying to get my shadows (there is some, and they are incredibly shitty) and more complex gradients in order, something I've been meaning to do. flash 4 lyfe!!!!111

I was forced into doing life drawing at college a few days ago, I had never drawn a person before and wasn't really up to seeing a naked man, after being persuaded to do so I was mildly proud of the outcome. I think the main aim was to just get the proportions correct, unfortunately for my the man we were drawing looked like a frog so I found some parts difficult :P. the head needs the most work

I did a couple of photos for my clan in Exteel when it was still alive, I consider it pretty good work considering the fact I am probably one of the biggest noobs at photoshop, sometimes I can pick something up quickly. Like that time you only made glossy icons all the time and then all of a sudden after months and months of glossy icons you made something different. And now you've made very similar styled posters all the time and then bam you changed the layout and style completely. :v: Yeah, they need to be more solid and round, right now they are more like wide ovals that are blended into his skin. So they could use a new colour to seperate them and a stronger circular shape to make them look more like eyes.

Although the tutor with me encouraged us to ignore the head so much and just draw a oval and instead work on the shape and proportions of the body. I think we might be doing heads/faces more in depth later in the course.

This kind of work always gets a million views on Deviant Art and hundreds of loving comments but all it is is selecting areas and messing about with some sliders and then pasting on some texture overlays. Anyone can make this stuff in 10 minutes.

Which brings us neatly to the point that a common person, who does not have anything to do with your speciality, is a massive cunt.

Same goes for that "photomanipulation" crap where people just take a few stock photos and mash them together, get the sliders right and then slap on some grime textures. Fuck that stuff.

Thats pretty sweet, I tried drawing mecha a few years ago, I totally fail at it, those cameras make it look far out, looks like this should be graffiti art instead.
