Creative Work That Doesn't Deserve A Thread V5 <Dongery Penis Edition>

Had to make some looping gifs for a warm-up unit at Uni, so bung this out in about half an hour.
Never really tried stop-motion before and I didn't have a tripod put i kinda think the shaky camera makes it look more animated.

Its a bit annoying that the last (?) shot is upside down... the pen and mousepad switch places. But it looks good :)
a quick, failed speedpaint for the OIFY banner thing.
Rusty says it's no good, I feel down.

Did you ever use a reference for those masks?
nop, I just went with my general knowledge of owning a cuple and I looked a reference for how helmets act.
Also one on mossberg super shorty. That's about it.

Man, i really didn't notice that.
I ought to fix that.
Fix'd.

Rusty didn't say the drawing was bad, Rusty said that it would be of no use, because using this banner for OIFY would be like a pearl in a pile of shit.

But every pile of shit needs a pearl in it, if not, nobody will care about it and use it.
Thought I'd post these here;

I've been lurking in this thread for a while and I thought that I would make a contribution. Here are some of my pictures from this morning.

If I actually get paid from my job I'll do something like this with my other room.
Bit of a WiP:

Still eagerly awaiting my tablet so I can stop painting with a fucking mouse and start doing my line-art from scratch.
Your sense of perspective does not exist, as well as basic anatomy
Because I'm clearing drawing a real living animal and it will have realistic proportions.
Also, perspective is for babies.
Go read the bio first or something.
You strike me as one of those people who learns how to draw one thing, and then all you do is draw it over and over again.
[editline]25th October 2010[/editline]
Nevermind,
You're a self proclaimed tracer.
Ow. My ego has been shot.
No, not really. Perhaps if people did not look at a page, say "WTF BAD", and then post a one-sentence insult in an attempt to accumulate "Zing" ticks...
I checked your DA page as well. It's mostly the same thing over and over.
I eagerly await your next insult.

I'm not going to read your "biography" of a wolf thing (because it's probably as bad as your painting) but I really doubt it says anywhere in those 500,000 words that your character is 2D... because that what it looks like in the picture.
It has no depth and no perspective.
The teeth and hair are terribly lacking in detail and the piece is full of aliasing issues. The blood looks crudely scrawled and seems completely unaffected by light or the surface that it is on.

:frog:
At least someone had the kindness to explain why they think it's bad. Yes, I have serious trouble with art- dysgraphia makes sketching almost impossible for me. I am trying to practice, but it all takes time. Ever more so when I can't draw a straight line 50% of the time and I can think of HOW to draw perspective but can never get it into paper.
As to "LOL U TRACE TERRIBAD", is it illegal to, say, practice things? I have a feeling you too had to learn some basic techniques before moving on to complete free handing. Or did you just pick up a paintbrush and draw The Mona Lisa? I also see that you are a self-proclaimed image-ripper, given by your second page. My 2p.
I'm tracing my line-art when I do digital art presently because I have no tablet and no real means of transferring a pencil sketch to my computer in any acceptable quality.
Personally I think there's nothing wrong with tracing the preliminary line-art so long as you state it when you post the work.
Eg:

No, what he's proclaiming loudly is that I sometimes practice by tracing other things. I clearly state it in the description and point out the initial creator (who is fine with it) and dump it in the Scrapbook, which would logically be where you put things that aren't intended to be showcased.
But, logic doesn't seem to get through.
As for tracing to the computer, I use a tablet but find paper easier to sketch on, so I use it as a guide to draw the lineart digitally.
As an artist you gain very little from tracing.
You might want to try to study the object, break it down in your mind, and then draw it out on paper.
Beyond saying "NO PERSPECTIVE", I saw very little in the way of an explanation.
I predict this will devolve into an endless insult-war. As such, I see minimal value in responding further.
oh my god you are such a whiner
You clearly got a lot of good advice and you're just throwing it away. You only accept the nicest one of all, which ended telling you off for your dumb perspective comment.
I also don't get how you're suddenly typing as if you're of high class and act like you weren't flinging shit a few posts ago. Superiority complex waah.

You need an award for best poster. You should also get a special red avatar to suit it.
But seriously. You're just running away and trying to trash talk everyone else because they didn't like what you did. Shrubbing off obvious wrongs and faults in your drawing and calling them intentional or part of the style is stupid and will get you no fucking where.
I'd also like to know HOW IN THE HELL Joyz just has the same stuff all over his DA when it's all clearly extremely different. Sure, the theme going through his works is the same, but he is never drawing the same thing over and over again.
His perspective is 100% lacking. If he was drawing a cartoon, he should have done so and aimed for a cartoon specific style instead of a darker tone that was aiming for more realism. The mouth is facing towards the side instead of near the front and it's smiling. I really would like to critique it but there is just so much to talk about. As for the written piece, you did a fantastic job at describing the situation and the surrounding environment.
Here's something I've been working on (my phone rapes the quality): woops sorry they were too big lemme resize em
got it!
