Why are people so reluctant to changes? Getting rid of the little bars for Likes/Dislikes and adding a numeric counter you don't have to overlay is much, much better.
HTML5 is awesome, it's obsoleting Flash as a useless technology, and is far more versatile and scaleable.
Personally I like updates, why is everyone so against them?
HTML5 is awesome, it's obsoleting Flash as a useless technology, and is far more versatile and scaleable.
And when the browser lags HTML5 lags too. Great!
For people that can't get the Youtube ads to go away with AdBlock, try this: Go to your extensions page on Chrome: Then press "Update Extensions Now" and after, go to "Options." Then go to "Excluded Sites." Youtube.com was there for me by default. Remove it, and enjoy Youtube ad-free.
Can Youtube please just stop already. Jesus.
I fail to see why one of the most prominent websites for user created content should stop expanding their features just to stop a bunch of people from crying
Oh cool, did HTML5 become default? Neat.
I hate YouTube, they changed my channel into a clusterfuck of lies.
It's funny how the super annoying ads before the videos load and buff 10x faster then the video it self.
This has given me numerous improvements in videos with 720P quality with the HTML5 player.
Has anyone tried Right clicking on the center of the video and pressing "Save Video as.."?
Has anyone tried Right clicking on the center of the video and pressing "Save Video as.."?
What. Oh god fuck yeah, no more 3rd party programs to download videos.
Lets see if it works on FP... [editline]22nd November 2010[/editline] nope
HTML5 is awesome, it's obsoleting Flash as a useless technology, and is far more versatile and scaleable.
Except that HTML5 video relies on the browser's own video decoders, most of which are currently far slower than Flash.
When are they gonna get rid of the "like" feature. I'm sick and tired of "Looks like X number of people missed the Like button" comments.
Has anyone tried Right clicking on the center of the video and pressing "Save Video as.."?
Doesn't work on chrome
Why the fuck did they remove the bars with letters for the likes and dislikes
THE DISLIKE BAR IS AS SHORT AS... wait. Still doesn't stop X people are Y, though.
I'm not a computer smarty, like most of you facepunchers, so could someone somehow explain what's so different and good about HTML5 compared to the regular youtube player?
Why the fuck did they remove the bars with letters for the likes and dislikes
I like it, it reduces the amount of people saying "XX people were ______" as they have to go through the effort of clicking a button to see the dislikes
Has anyone tried Right clicking on the center of the video and pressing "Save Video as.."?
Oh Youtube, I'm never going to give you up.
Nevermind.
HTML5 is awesome, it's obsoleting Flash as a useless technology, and is far more versatile and scaleable.
Except youtube's implementation of it uses a proprietary video codec so it does absolutely nothing to make web video more open, which was one of the reasons why HTML5 was so hyped.
Except youtube's implementation of it uses a proprietary video codec so it does absolutely nothing to make web video more open, which was one of the reasons why HTML5 was so hyped.
WebM is open, but they still use h.264 for most of their crap.
Nothing changed lately.
Right click it and press save video as in the HTML5 trial. It actually works holy shit!
