I never bought a CD, I have a shitload of records, however.
I have nothing against CDs though, they did have significance in that there was no more noise on records that didn't want noise.
Times have changed though.

sadly my family never had an 8track, I feel like I missed out on something there
I remember having this 8-track player in Spain when on holiday as a kid. There was this one cartridge and the singer sounded like Frank Sinatra. Had no idea how it worked, so I pushed buttons and broke it.
