lurking in 07 was fun, lurking in 08 was fun, kinda lurking in 09 wasn't as fun
I only started lurking around the end of '08 so I can't say. I thought '08 was pretty good. I have noticed a decline in post quality. So let's say '08 from my point of view.
I lurked in late late 04 and 05 before I joined in late 05 in order to get gmod support. I then left and came back in mid 06, but I was a bit of a noob. I guess the best time here would be late 06 to mid 07.
