When I'm older, I'm going to buy a Prius, tear all of that electric engine shit out of it and slap the biggest engine into it that I can. I'd change things around a bit to make it rear or all wheel drive and stuff. Then I'd race ricers with it, just because I can.
+ + [img_thumb]http://img.tootoo.com/mytootoo/upload/40/409228/product/409228_440a66d5bc65371f43b273beb2b9490d.jpg[/img_thumb] I mean, if you're going to RWD it, swap it, at least keep it in the family.
That's a huge fart can.
You're a huge fart can. [editline]13th April 2011[/editline] And I thoroughly intend to fuck up a hearse. All those years of listening to psychobilly are about to pay off. [editline]13th April 2011[/editline] What do you guys think about chopping and possibly slamming this? http://atlanta.craigslist.org/eat/cto/2283275555.html
Get a CRX i-VT
Eh, I would go for something that would gain/retain value. Depends on what kind of project your making this. There is the restoration project which is pretty self explanatory. It uses the best of your skills but you have to have a good amount of knowledge for it to turn out great. Would go with older vehicles or some sort of sportscar for this. Then there is the best of my skills/see what I can do and experiment project. This is a ratty ass beater car that wouldn't be that expensive. The outcome varies depending on what you do. It's up to you on what you'd like to get. I'd prefer a beater car with a v8 engine though. Just my personal preference. [editline]13th April 2011[/editline] http://atlanta.craigslist.org/eat/cto/2289375431.html This would be a great project. It's cheap and complete, you'll be surprised what a car looks like after you sand it down. This one requires minimal body work, interior is in exelent condition but if you are to make it nice I might consider replacing alot of it. It can fetch around 6 grand in a good condition, but it's not exactly in high demand. It all depends on how far you want to go.
This is AMURIKUH. We ain't got no damn European CRX models here. Standard/DX (They are the same thing, DX being the unofficial name for it), HF (8 valves and ~45-50MPG), and Si (106bhp and cool interior). That's it. The whole range. I've owned three STD models and one HF, although the HF was parts. About to convert my Civic to the HF tranny, when I can get spare change to get a couple quarts of 5e30 for the tranny. No American CRX had VTEC either. And every one was SOHC, none of that ZC/D16A1/A8/A9/ DOHC crap here.
Get a CRX i-VT [img_thumb]http://bilmodel.dk/images/cars/32_2.jpg[/img_thumb]
I think it's funny that all the cost cutting on creating that car made it fast.
I think it's funny that all the cost cutting on creating that car made it fast.
"Lets put a chassis on some wheels, then maybe an engine... ok I think we're done here. "
I think it's funny that all the cost cutting on creating that car made it fast.
It's funny, because it's practically like the hatchback minus two seats. My friend has a CRX and I have an ED hatch (Or EF if you want to call it, some people are picky), and if our cars were the same color it'd be hard to tell who was coming at you. And his is a bit faster than mine, but I have a grindy 4-speed and can't shift well and he has an auto. Mine is my D15B/D16Y7 swap and he has a JDM D15B bored .3 over. We're working on reverting his to stock though. Just put a stock cam gear on it last night and got rid of this adjustable junk. Don't need it on a mostly stock engine, unless it's a mini-me swap or something. Anyways, Honda are cheap and easy projects. If you get a project Honda you're looking at a few weeks of work, if you have the money. Boring. Get something RWD and foreign, as I said before. That's my suggestion.

Holy fuck I win, get your wallet out http://macon.craigslist.org/cto/2316331185.html
That's already finished though, p much.
There is still room to tool with it though. He could do a engine swap or add a bunch of custom features. Really depends on what he intends to do with it.
That roof sure could use a good chop... [editline]13th April 2011[/editline] No, bad thoughts. Don't chop VWs.
Alright, I'm narrowing down my options. I've got my dad sold on a project rat. He lost his leg about a year ago and needs something to do besides just work, so we're going to have a project. Right now, its between the cars that have been posted, an 82 Civic DX, and this. Also, I've found a few Super Beetles that I'm not adverse to chopping.
i dont see whats cool or "ratrod-ish" about the postal jeep. its flat black and has red steelies. thats like half the worlds population of 240sx's
Why would you get a right hand drive jeep with sliding doors?
RHD Jeep. Haha. I always wanted a postal jeep so I could show up when my friends and I meet with our cars and say it's mad tyte JDM.
Its unique, weird, and it could use a good chopping.
Its unique, weird, and it could use a good chopping.
i dont think you can make that jeep look cool.
I'd like to see him try.
