Coney Island sucks. It is infested with minorities and the only hotdogs you get there are Nathan's hot dogs... which you can get fucking anywhere.
Go to the MTA's Transit Museum.
[editline]05:08PM[/editline]
Also ride the Ferry from Staten Island to South Ferry in Manhattan.
The fuck? Coney Island's awesome.
What is there to do in Staten Island, anyway? Honestly, every time I've been there I've been bored as fuck.
New York sucks, go somewhere cool.
Become fabolous homosexual.

Agree
Not really my choice, Japan would be cooler tho :nyoron:
The East Coast is fine and all, but the Midwest is perhaps more wholesome.

*cough*Child porn*cough*
Whenever I go, I always just wander aimlessly looking for various things to do.
Oh go to a Jekyll and Hyde's restaurant! http://www.jekyllandhydeclub.com/
Just make sure you go to the one near Times Square. The other one isn't as good.
Or go find the Peanut Butter & Co http://ilovepeanutbutter.com/
If you like peanut butter, that shop is amazing.

Huh?
Oh yeah, ben & jerrys, love that stuff, are all the "shops" the same, or are there preferred ones? We don't have them here in sweden, only thouse jars with ice cream. Tried once in Denmark and it was like the best milkshake i've ever tasted.
At least a switchblade. Don't forget to dispose of it when you get on the plane.
Also, try to take a side trip to Washington DC. See the white house, the Smithsonian, and the Washington Monument.
Oh and if you want you can drop by the WTC site and see how it's doing.

Where did you get a big enough microwave to do so?
For the love of god, don't listen to people telling you to bring weapons.
How could i? Can't even bring a toenail clipper on the plane :v:
But yeah, not really gonna walk into dark alleyways anyway.
Dark alley's are the best place to go.... just kidding
Hope you have a good time :) (visit Rockefeller center)
Go to china town, and bring lots of money. Haggle the prices down in china town because most of the stuff is fake anyway.
That depends. Are you going to the city or upstate?
Probably just in the city.
If you go to New York then all you really have to do is walk around! You can walk down just about any street and find something neat. Canal street is the fake electronics center of the world, and you can check out the Upright Citizens Brigade, an underground improv group that has free Sunday specials, and SNL stars show up every now and then to preform.
If you know what im talking about, look for the jolibee
1.) New York City =/= New York
2.)Come upstate, where we are all cooler than the losers in the city. :colbert:
3.)Don't go to the city, there's more to do upstate then there is in the city.
Meet Jay-Z.
See the usual sights, but don't assume automatically that all Americans are exactly like the people who live in cities, as most of our major cities are populated by dicks.
Then again, maybe NYC is different, I've only been to NYC long enough to walk from one end of LaGuardia to the other and hop on a different plane.
The last time I remember going to new york was me and my family going to the theater. Go find one there.
Go visit the twin towers

above user is incorrect
Go to the Hershey's store, the one with the big rotating candy bar. You can buy a 5 lb bar of chocolate there for $20. Or, you could when I went a couple years back.
I went there about 3 weeks ago, it's pretty fun, although I only stayed for 2 days. Didn't do much but wonder around the shopping areas, eat food, and see the statue of liberty and such. It was fun just walking around checking out all the different areas like China town or little Italy. I enjoyed seeing how the subways are and how much easier/healthier it is to walk and ride them everywhere. There are some of the biggest assholes there though, I think I ran into about 4 - 5 (the people I was forced to ask questions from) it seems as though asking questions is something that would get your ass kicked. Check the sites, eat food, get cheap shit, and relax.
