Aw, they forgot viperfish: Though, fear of this things is a bit ridiculous, considering they would never approach a person, if we could dive to those depths, let alone attack them, or prove to be a threat even if they did. Then there's the giant squid...
Didn't they capture some footage of a Giant Squid bigger than a blue whale?
No. [editline]11th April 2011[/editline]
I'm waiting for them to discover some crazy sea monster in the deepest parts of the ocean.
What would you describe as a sea monster? [editline]11th April 2011[/editline]
Giant squid here to fuck your shit up while still remaining a mystery.
Giant squid have had their pictures taken before. Alive... Big game fishing off the coast of Japan.
What would you describe as a sea monster?
Something bigger than a blue whale/legendary, or mythological creature from reported sightings (like kraken.) I really hope we find something like that. :(
MonsterQuest actually filmed a giant squid too. Quite rare that they actually get what they are after. They were after giant humboldt squid, and they filmed a giant, but its unclear if it was humboldt or architeuthis.
That music is also fucking boss.
This shits awesome, but it scares the shit out of me too.
This shits awesome, but it scares the shit out of me too.
Isn't that what makes it good?
Its hard to believe that there isn't intelligent life down there if there is all of that stuff just swimming around in "deep" water. Is it possible for anything human-like to live down there? By that I mean something that has evolved over time to that kind of environment, so maybe they can't come up due to the low pressure comparing to down there?
For all we know, some Kraken sized creature might be living down there somewhere.
I swear this shit just exists to never make me want to go anywhere near the ocean ever again
phffhahahaha what the fuck is that thing
For all we know, some Kraken sized creature might be living down there somewhere.
wouldn't that be quite something
I'll just leave this here. Upon finding a female, they clamp down on her skin with their teeth and fuse their circulatory system to hers, providing a constant supply of sperm to the female. Over time, they actually get absorbed by the female until they're nothing more then pimple-like bumps on her skin.

They're really smart. Ignore the red X, ill fix it when I get home and can actually see the ratings. You are right, such is life as a male angler.
Another fun fact for you; It is unclear where the blue whales do their reproduction In the water obviously, but please let me know if you got a video of two whales getting dirty.
Dammit I want Bioluminescence. Also, lets not forget the Gulper eel (I think it was in the video at one point) These things always creep me out the most.
Hey, I have a tiny toyversion of one of those things ^
That thing at 1:45 looks fucking hilarious.
