Oh yeah, zombies shouldn't shoot.
Zombies shouldnt be able to run, but it makes good horror!
The zombie films lately are all about visual effects, and not eerieness/horror. :sigh: The old ones will hold a special place in my heart
Fucking agreed. Zombies aren't even undead anymore, there just really really angry.
I like running zombies, but Zombies with guns? NO
Dance of the Dead was a surprisingly entertaining movie. Not brilliant, but still fun. I loved how the zombies come back by basically launching out of the grave at 60mph.
The original Day of the Dead would have been pretty bad but Captain Rhodes saved it and more. Just look at this badass. And he had the worst death I've ever seen in a movie. At like 1:50 or so.
What is rhodes saying at 0:53?
I liked Pontypool. It's a psychological zombie horror movie; It wouldn't appeal to any gore fans.

I actually liked Day of the Dead... not as good as Dawn was perhaps but I still liked it a lot.
I actually liked Day of the Dead... not as good as Dawn was perhaps but I still liked it a lot.
Which ones are we talking about? George A Romero and Tom Savini both think that people didn't like the original Day of the Dead because people were expecting another movie with the same zaniness of Dawn.
Which ones are we talking about? George A Romero and Tom Savini both think that people didn't like the original Day of the Dead because people were expecting another movie with the same zaniness of Dawn.
Then George is a bit silly isn't he.
There's some television series in slow production called Lifeless. Good regular slow shamblers. Not fast ones. Just the way I like it. http://lifelesstheseries.com/about.php I think I started hearing about this like 2-3 years ago. It was awhile, only thought of it 'cause of this thread.
Then George is a bit silly isn't he.
Why is he silly? He also said that people have come around to liking it, and he even said it was his favorite in the series (This was pre-Land of the Dead, but I doubt any of his recent work is his favorite). Supposedly (I wasn't even born at the time Day released), it was being marketed as the same type of movie as Dawn.

Shawn of the dead. Left 4 Dead would have made a good movie...if it was a 3D movie...
Shawn of the dead. Left 4 Dead would have made a good movie...if it was a 3D movie...
Shaun, not Shawn.
First time I ever watched 28 days later, I almost shat. It was a great movie, expertly handled. But after all Danny Boyle is a very skilled director and talented creator. The first 10 minutes of weeks was right on the spot, but for some reason the rest of the movie just fell to shit.
They are not actual zombies in 28 days/weeks later. They are humans with rabies-like virus, like in Left 4 Dead, so i think it's pretty obvious that they run.
Which ones are we talking about? George A Romero and Tom Savini both think that people didn't like the original Day of the Dead because people were expecting another movie with the same zaniness of Dawn.
The originals, of course... the remake of Dawn wasn't all that bad I guess but I'm not much a fan of running zombies. Don't even get me started on the remake of Day. What a load of shit that was. But yeah, you're probably right. I just loved the darker, gritty feel that Day took on instead of the "zaniness," as you say. Made it more enjoyable for me.
I liked Dawn of the Dead - remake more than the original.

Old people never survive in zombie movies. I really don't know if the show is dead or what not, but it has good things to offer from what I've seen. Budget doesn't seem to be very high and acting is exactly top-notch. Perfectly adequate, but it seems like another good show that will die.
They are not actual zombies in 28 days/weeks later. [editline]09:07AM[/editline] i've said the word "zombie" in my head so many times it's lost all meaning
I like Shaun of the Dead, but it's just overrated. Zombieland is pretty damn good, and another personal favourite, but again, too overrated. I think Land of the Dead is one of the best.

Fido is a funny zombie movie. Not as much attention as it should have gotten though.
Fido is a funny zombie movie. Not as much attention as it should have gotten though.
That movie was great, especially with Billy Connolly as a zombie.
