It's not scripted, the David player is an actual player, not AI. He's also an admin, so he has teleport and invisibility and shit on his side.
I was really hoping that David would teleport one of them away when their lights were off and take his place.

I've got the release disc bought in 98', aswell, activated the CD key through steam without any problems at all. There's no reason for it not to work, either, It's not like VALVe didn't merge their database of WON CD keys with the Steam one.

My feelings for this series instantly went down the shitter when they were playing rock paper scissors in the dark alley way and David showed up. It makes me believe that this is actually a scripted series instead of true let's play. The circumstances of the situation combined with the fact that the footage is actually shot over several days time (you could join the server and run through it in about a couple of hours) also brings me to this conclusion. Another fact is that Cocyx the faggot skeleton was having almost no traffic to his AOM server, so he could've asked these two to do a small scripted lets play for his server, which not only bring more traffic but make it seem more fun than it actually is.
TL;DR this is a machinima with shit actors, not a let's play, and that is disappointing to me.

So lets set up this scenario, youre in charge of scaring the players of this game and you happen to see two guys standing awkwardly without any intent to move forward. Anyone with a half a brain could assume theyre scared to move forward and would appear right then when theyre most vulnerable to keep the game moving.
Sure, it could be scripted, but honestly basing your judgment on a dude who took an obvious opportunity to scare them is not the best evidence to back up your claim. Alot crazier shit has happened in games that are not scripted.
I know David has abilities to see other player's cameras, teleport, go invisible, trigger certain events, taking that all in mind, why did they both go into the dark alley, and without any discussion both decide to turn their flashlights on and off at the same time at the same interval while playing rock paper scissors. They're clearly not the bravest people ever, it'd make more sense if they played RPS in a more brightly lit area, but instead they played in the dark alley. Right. Okay.

They didn't discuss this between each other. They've been playing rock paper scissors in the brightest part of the map they could find before this, why did they decide to hivemind switch it up now. Also, you're forgetting this isn't IRL, you can't flinch and switch your answer at the last second. Once you select a weapon and pull it out you can definitely see that the person pulled out his shotgun/knife/pistol.

If you paid any attention, they had been doing the rock paper scissors without their lights on throughout the LP, not just for that particular instance.
