He does use his computer a lot, and he used to play his xbox a lot until it broke or something. He just doesn't really know how to use his computer, I have to hold his hand whenever I come over in order to get games to work for him.

If he has an xbox, get him an adapter for his controllers to work with the pc. He will be used to them, and they are good for emulation with help from a program like xpadder.
