Regardless of whether I want to hear conspiracies in rap or not, I have a hard time reading shit that makes me smarter, then getting on iTunes and listening to the dumb ass rappers not saying anything. I just can't get myself to listen to dumbasses rapping.

The way I look at it is like, I have friends who aren't that up on politics. They're fun to hang with and play videogames and have a beer with and just shoot the shit, but when they start talking to me about politics their opinions are really dumb and it just gets hella awkward. I feel the same way about music.

I get what you're saying, I just feel like I'm making myself dumber by listening to stupid shit, I mean it's cool if I'm at a party or something but never at home by myself. I guess the difference between music and a friend is that I'm listening to music (rap specifically) to hear people who bring it with the crazy lyrics. Whereas a friend might be dumb as shit but that's now why you hang out with them.
