Oh come on you should know that #1 albums don't mean shit anymore
Depends on how many times you do it.
Depends on how many times you do it.
That's true. A single #1 album doesn't mean anything nowadays, but 11 definitely does.
Unlike most artists I love Jay-Z's stuff from Reasonable Doubt to The Blueprint 3, I just love his music all round.
I think I'd say:
Reasonable Doubt
Black Album
Blueprint
.
.
.
Everything else.
I know it's a bit off topic, but I made some avatars and I don't know which one to use, and since they're Kanye related I thought I might post it here :v:

Tyler the Creator with Bieber.
Producers have been sampling since the beginning, he only stands out because less people do it now. It used to be that every producer sampled.
Kanye is known for his pitched up voices, but the first person known for this was RZA the producer for Wu-Tang. Here are some examples.

Tons of artists still sample, people have just been getting a lot better at it and know how to chop it up in such a way it's pretty much unrecognizable.
Kanye was one of the people who did a good job at sampling. Not necessarily making it unrecognizable, but he just did get at using them. Not to mention he is a freaking awesome writer. As out of touch as he may seem with people, he can be quite relatable in quite a few of his songs.
My favorite Kanye songs
We Don't Care (My all time favorite!!!)

All of the Lights (sweet joint right here)

Drive Slow ft Paul Wall, GLC, T.I.

Kanye is beast when he is featured in other artists songs, and he tends to outperform his own album-self imo.
Erase Me - Kid Cudi ft Kanye

Go Hard - DJ Khaled ft Kanye, T-Pain

Southside - Common ft Kanye

And one of my all time fav songs, (the video kinda sucks)
Run This Town - Jay-Z feat Kanye, Rihanna

I was just thinking, Facepunch in general seems a lot more tolerant of rap music than they were a few years ago, it used to be all "rap is (c)rap throw away the rappers" and now there's usually at least as many people who are willing to defend it. I wonder why that is.
Two reasons I thought up:
-FPers are getting older and less cliquey
-With people like Drake and Kanye and Kid Cudi a lot of radio rap has become less threatening and less associated with the hood
I think the second reason to be one of the main reasons why I'm a bit more open to rap. I couldn't stand this constant "nigga nigga, money bitches" that rap at the time was blurting out. Now there's more variety.
I dunno if anyone has brought him up so far, and I don't feel like reading through all of the pages. So sue me if I'm late.

This is more like the freshman class of 2010. I can't wait to see Tyler the Creator in the "freshman class of 2012."
WAY TO STAY ON TOP OF IT XXL
Ouch, this class is so far behind the class of '09 that it hurts me.
I liked damn near everyone in '09. This one? Of the ones I even know about, K.R.I.T., Yelawolf, and Diggy are the only ones I like.
I hate Mac Miller, also.
Class of 09 is where it was at.
