It's so cool when artists use weird samples in their music, i mean, if you showed that to me before i heard 3030, I would never be able to think of a way to rap over it.
Mos Def's freestyles are always insane. There's a video where he freestyles against Kanye West and he just destroys him. It's not aggressive, just playful, but he does so much better than him. There's another video too where Mos Def is drunk with his friends and he "challenges" jay-z and lil wayne to a rap battle and really fat headed about it because he knows he's the best. Also a video of him talking about DOOM's lyrics in MM Food and he's like completely astonished at how good it is.
That drum beat in that BET video sounds a lot like the one in Sublime's cover of Scarlet Begonias.

It's the Funky Drummer break, it's the most or second most famous sampled drumloop of all time.

Haha what's with that NES controller (break dancing?) mat in that chris brown video? Busta Rhymes is so good, he seems almost underrated, probably because he's almost always a feature and not the main guy.
Here's a really good one with Busta Rhymes.

The game of chess is like a sword fight...
ODB kills it in that one. Worst part about that song is Method Man has no verse
Someone please tell me how I add a "chorus effect" to vocals in audacity? Is it possible? What I'm talking about is at the end of a lot of lines in songs by artists like Eminem it sounds like it's being said twice at the same time, it adds a little spark.
New media tags definitely add life to the thread.

See, that was great. And Mos is awesome on a personal basis too.
In related news, Lupe is amazing. Even with Lasers being a clusterfuck.

It's called vocal dubbing or stacking. There's no effect to do it automatically. You have to record the parts you want on a separate track. You can copy and paste parts already recorded, but it won't sound as good and it's not as expressive.

Ugh most of the popular songs on radio nowadays are really bad. I mean I was pretty lenient when it comes to mainstream hip hop/pop (I love California Gurls) but this summer has no summer tunes.
My radio is broken and stuck on a classic rock station called "The Bear".
We mostly just listen to CDs, in my car.

I'm too poor for CDs and my iPod was stolen
You should just steal an iPod from someone else. It's like karma, except, you're stealing.
