I regret not seeing him when he was playing in Baltimore or DC, I could have walked to the Baltimore Soundstage and they had leftover tickets to sell at the door at one of them IIRC. The tickets were only like $30 too, but I bought tickets to the Caps - Senators game instead, which I don't regret because that game was fucking awesome and I had dope seats.

He's not a bad rapper but the whole "physcho" persona feels way too forced. The constant repeating of "hip hops dead I'm the best" when he's not very unique doesn't help either.

I personally love it, and I would be glad to one day see more mainstream artists include some onto their tracks. Even RnB songs would sound good with it.

"One day?" It happened all the time in the 90s. It's something that's not popular anymore, not something that was never popular. You can still hear it on a lot of mixtapes.

Hopsin is technically very skilled, it's just a shame that he wastes that ability by channeling it all into sounding exactly like 90s Eminem. Oldschool hip-hop purists love him for that reason, but imo he's bringing absolutely nothing new to the table, and what the genre needs is people pushing it forward and creating new sounds, not trying to pull it backward.
Scratching needs to come back. and DJs. The breakdancing can stay in the 80s.
