Just saying thanks for the enlightenment. I want Kid Cudi to make a collab album with Incubus, it would revive his career... if only he could actually sing lol oh and here's some music:

Are there any hip-hop/rap albums that don't use the word "nigga" and have intelligent lyrics?
Are there any hip-hop/rap albums that don't use the word "nigga" and have intelligent lyrics?
Nope, not a one
It was a serious question. I'm asking for suggestions. If your answer is serious, then I am disappointed.
Are there any hip-hop/rap albums that don't use the word "nigga" and have intelligent lyrics?
Hip-Hop acts that to my knowledge have never said "nigga": Aesop Rock Afroman Atmosphere B. Dolan Brother Ali Classified Cunninlynguists (I think?) Cypress Hill don't say it that much Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip Del the Funky Homosapien Devin the Dude (pretty sure he doesn't say it much) Eminem of course Eyedea Gang Starr don't say it much The Grouch Hail Mary Mallon Living Legends Mac Lethal Murs Non-Prophets Sage Francis Sole Blueprint (I think he's called Musab now) There's plenty more. Just look around a bit. I'm not really a fan of brag-rap either. Unless it's a battle. That's when it makes sense. [editline]4th November 2011[/editline] oh and nerdcore sucks
Are there any hip-hop/rap albums that don't use the word "nigga" and have intelligent lyrics?
If "don't say nigga" is one of your criteria for rap to listen to than I feel like you're not going to be able to appreciate intelligent lyrics anyway [editline]5th November 2011[/editline] dammn the second two are fiire
So what do you guys think of Jedi Mind Tricks new album?
Cheesy.
Cheesy.
The Intro was really cliche.

It's pretty annoying honestly.

People like Mos Def, proponents of black empowerment use the word nigga. It's an informal sign of endearment, like brother. That man isn't my brother but I'm going to call him it anyway. But then again considering your first post in this thread you don't really seem that open to hip-hop anyway, especially if you genuinely thought there's no hip-hop that doesn't use the word nigga. I mean Jesus Christ do you realise how many white MCs there are? They don't get to use Nigga when they rap, so that's a whole demographic which are almost entirely going to be devoid of it.

If I genuinely thought it didn't exist, why would I ask? Yeah, and they're skin color doesn't change how incredibly stupid it is.
if you adapt a phrase used against you to be used by you, it loses its power. That's the idea behind it
That would make more sense, but then why still be offended by people who call you the actual word?
That would make more sense, but then why still be offended by people who call you the actual word?
because it's still offensive? People don't say it as much anymore but when people say it they're still trying to incite racial hatred and are usually verbally and physically aggressive
If it is still offensive I don't think the word has lost much of its power.
I apologize that racial equality is a long-term and complicated concept that won't be cured in the course of 20 odd years
