Why the hell would sterile water freeze on contact with flesh? All it is, is water that has had all the microbes in it destroyed or denatured by heat.
If you filled a bottle with sterile water, and you let someone take a sip, and just as their lips touched the water, would all the water just near instantly freeze around their mouth?
Look at some youtube videos, and by "alsmost instantly" i mean about 3-4 seconds. I haven't tried it personally, as i don't know where to buy sterilised water.
when i was little i liked to pretend i was a scientist, so i put toothpaste in orange juice and left it outside for a week, then i drank it, and almost died from the fluoride.
I wish I had a copy of the anarchists cook book, shit sounds so fun.
I wish I had a copy of the anarchists cook book, shit sounds so fun.
It's common sense applied to explosive compounds and shit you can make pretty easily yourself.
Get some Uranium 235 and some Uranium 238 and hit them together.
Get some Uranium 235 and some Uranium 238 and hit them together.
Or you know, you could do something that would actually achieve fusion and not just give you hand cancer.
I wish I had a copy of the anarchists cook book, shit sounds so fun.
Too bad most it is either technologically outdated due to the the 'book' being written in the late 80's(?), implausible due to current police technology, simply wrong, or very deadly and would kill you if you're dumb enough to do it. it's all trash, and the stuff that isn't trash is common sense.
Why the hell would sterile water freeze on contact with flesh? So, heat it to above 100C, and you've superheated it. It's very unpredictable and may explode in your face any second. (I wouldn't put superheated water in a bottle) Same if you cool it down to below 0C, but will be more controllable as you can have it in a bottle with a small opening. (which means less chance for dust to come inside.)
Making plasma in the microwave is always fun. When I was a kid "plasma" was this mystical thing in movies, tv and comics. Plasma guns, plasma sabers, plasma thrusters etc. It was always glowing humming stuff and almost magical. Now when you make it in the microwave, it actually is exactly like that! It glows, it hums, it floats, it's hot as hell etc.
This thread has so much potentional. Here's a magical trick: 1 - Fill a balloon with water. 2 - Let it stay in freezer overnight. 3 - Ask a friend if it's okay that you film him getting a waterballoon in his face, tell him it's for a short film or something. 4 - Get another friend to film it. 5 - Throw balloon in face. 6 - Run like fuck.
ok i guess its time to give you something.. Here are some basic diagrams. FM Transmitter: always fun Shortwave converter receiver: use it to listed to the UVB-76 on your police scanner lol reduce Y1 from 55MHz to something lower to get the 6MHz band or lower Another FM transmitter (2 transistor) Led alternating Flasher: Color code: "So easy a caveman can do it"
I found an old smoke alarm in my shed and after taking it apart noticed a component inside, a short and stout cylinder, with a radiation stamp on the top and 'Radioactive Material' written underneath. Any ideas what fun could be had with this.
Don't know if anyone said this yet, but it's Americium. A man-made radioactive element that releases alpha (or was it beta waves?) These are stopped by clothes, so you shouldn't be worried, unless you hold it all day or something.

Damn, too slow. Now my arrows won't work :saddowns: I find it so funny when...screw it I hate political correctness. I find it funny when dumb people talk science.
Old CD burner trick to pop balloons: 1 - carefully remove the laser from an old cd or dvd burner 2 - notice on the ribbon cable ther is a adjustable pot. this adjusts the voltage to the laser diode. 3 - you want to be careful here and always wear eye protection similar to that for UV and/or IR light 4 - Connect power to the laser assembly (don't exceed 6 VDC or you may burn out the laser) 5 - you have a balloon blown up and set up? good aim the laser dot at the balloon 6 - slowly adjust the pot until the balloon pops This can also be used to light a cigarette or a match Note: Dont go taking apart you good cd burners or whatever devices for this. find one thats broken..
Where do you find all these./? (Yes, that's a period/question mark)
all of what?
I wish I had a copy of the anarchists cook book, shit sounds so fun.
For me, explosives aren't fun. There are a lot of other fun experiments to do besides making explosives, that's why I recommend you "The golden Book of Chemistry experiments". if you can find it. It should be cheap, it's an old book from the 60' but those experiments are not obsolete. Here's what wikipedia states: Many of the experiments contained in the book are now considered highly dangerous for unsupervised children, and would not appear in a modern children's chemistry book. I've read it all and if you're a smart person that know what's dangerous and what's not, all that "too dangerous for the public" seems like bullshit. But, indeed, many people don't judge like this(especially children). In fact, judging by the complexity of the experiments and dangerousness, I believe this book was addressed to adolescents\adults more than children.
all of what?
Do you just know all of these? Or are you copypasta-ing? I just say so because you're consistent with the numbering. Oh btw, I have an intact cd-rom mechanism. Does anybody have any ideea what to do with it? I also have a hdd that only has the disk and motor, but I don't have money to build a spindle controller...

It teaches you how to make chlorine and iodine. Chlorine gas was used as a weapon in World War One. Ingesting just a few grams of iodine can kill you - and the gas is very dangerous, too. The safety instructions are hidden in the middle of the introduction and are literally six sentences long. There are almost no per-experiment warnings about in what particular ways the substances you are using and making will affect you. This book is definitely addressed to older people - but it's also written for amateurs, so it should contain safety instructions for amateurs. If you want to learn chemistry, do so at school or by buying a proper chemistry textbook. It will teach you how things actually work instead of showing you random flashy experiments. Find one with some good experiments to go along with it, experiments that actually teach you something and don't blow you up. Making that bomb or that green, sparkly flame may be cool, but chemistry is not just about mixing things together. It's about learning why it happens - and that is something only a proper book can teach you.
Krepps, you are absolutely right, but that was what I was actually saying. I read parts from the book, even with the chlorine gas too. Did I make that experiment? No... I'm usually cautious when it comes to these experiments, and always inform myself about the dangers. Heh, I actually know how to make nitroglycerin. Am I posing a threat to the public? Nah, it's just knowledge. As long as you know but aren't stupid enough to make things like this, everything is alright. And btw, I learned about it at school :P.
I used to be active at a forum called "The Anarchists Cookbook". It was really good, it had a subforum dedicated to explosives, which went into detail and the community was generally quite useful. I checked up on it again a couple of months ago, and sadly, its turned to utter shit. I shed a tear that day, for one of my first proper forums.
Then we should probably not talk about explosives around here :P. Gosh so many people like bang bang and boom boom. No wonder all these wars...
Hey Sjackm; for some reason i seem to be unable to PM you, drop your email or something in there and i will answer your messages. Edit: I just looked up how you make nitroglycerin in my chemistry book. Wow, it's pretty easy. Good thing it's really hard to handle or people would be making all kinds of homemade weapons with that.
No, it's definitely not bullshit. It teaches you how to make chlorine and iodine.
You can't make chlorine and iodine, they're elements. You could separate them if that's what you mean.
...showing you random flashy experiments. [editline]06:39PM[/editline] We also need MOAR! science here! Come on people! Let's overload the others' brains with SCIENCE!11one :science::science::science::science:
