Maybe it's uncomfortable for you, It really doesn't make a difference for me. It's a fighting stance, You want a volume of rounds in a precise spot fast.
Well I ain't goin to war anytime soon so I guess it doesn't really apply to me.
My grandma is giving me a couple guns in Florida (shotgun, rifle, handgun) and I can pick them up when I visit her in FL. What is the best way to get them back to my state, CA? Discuss.

You move to [state with sane gun laws].

Neither am I; but I use it for 3-gun. But I also naturally find it comfortable and where my hand just instinctively goes. I'm just not sure the grip would be comfortable to me, since I'm used to laying my palm flat against the lower rail. Also; I learned real quick not to do it on an SBR. Those damned things get hot when you're holding it by the fixed iron at the front... :(
Yeah, true. But that isn't in most peoples budget.

Also, for those of you who don't know, That's called Thumb Over Bore. It minimizes recoil by a lot.

Minimize recoil? No, not really. It helps minimize muzzle climb, which can honestly be achieved better with a compensator.

Driving back or flying back? If you're driving back, as long as you have the rifles in a case you'll be fine if you get pulled over, but check up on the laws of the states you're driving through.
If you're flying back, most airlines will let you take ~3 guns back as long as it's in a hard case and has a FFA approved lock on it. There may be more complications since you're going back to commiefornia, but I was able to fly guns from Florida to Michigan, and drive back from Michigan to Florida with no issues.
The over barrel grip isn't to mitigate recoil, it's to point the gun at the next target quicker and more precisely.

A similar grip can also be achieved with a VFG, albiet a little less comfortable. Still quite effective though. Costa taught the grip before the AFG came out. The AFG was made to improve on it.

You don't, because they're all probably illegal in California.

If the shotgun and rifle meet CA requirements I'd say take them. The pistol however might or might not be allowed, if its a revolver snag it, if its an older surplus pistol snag it, if neither, don't take it.
ALSO
I cleaned out my closet to make way for a soon-to-be-gun rack.

What do you guys think of the SCCY pistol?

well its only been a day but dont worry i believe in you!!!!!!
Do 92FS's have decockers?
Yes, the safety functions as the decocker. It's opposite in function from the USP decocker. On the USP you pull the safety past the fire position to decock it, then it returns to the fire position once you release it. On the Beretta, you pull the safety to the safe position to decock it, and it remains in the safe position when you release it.

I'm not sure about grips. I do like the grips it came with. I know that if I decide on some new grips, it will likely be AlumaGrips.
EDIT: It was AlumaGrips I was thinking of, not VZ.
VZ's are great, love the feel of them.
SO I've narrowed my choices down. Sig Sauer Scorpion or the FNX... I'm having a very hard time deciding between the two.

Yea, I was actually thinking about AlumaGrips. They have a grip that is very similar to the factory grips, and they lack the Beretta logo. VZ Grips are great though, I have a couple of pair for 1911s.
As for you, the Scorpion is an excellent 1911. I've never owned one, but my brother has one, and it's quality is up there with the best of them. I have no experience with the FNX, so I can not comment on it.

It's been up for a week now :/

I'd say Sig.

oh well then thats pretty gay. maybe when the time for a new ad, maybe make the trades area a bit more open? i mean its a pretty solid ad otherwise. maybe even too honest if thats a thing
Why does everyone say the sig? Why would you take it over the scorpion? I'm just curious.
Any other sigs you guys would recommend? The only caliber I prefer is .45, so that knocks a few off the list...

I'd go for the FNX because purely because of the larger capacity magazines. It's also simpler maintain, ambi-dextrous and nice ergonomic everything else.
But 1911's are great guns. Though I've been a bit hesitant about Sigs after reading quite a few horror stories of their customer support and abysmal QC failures.
[editline]8th April 2013[/editline]
Hopefully Sig would have gotten their act together and improved it.
Beretta is leaving MD

good, maybe people will realize how stupid this is once our economy starts getting hit

>Sig
>QC Problems
>Wut?
The only thing I've heard about Sig is that the Mosquito is really picky about ammo, other than that I've never heard a bad thing about them. They're bloody tanks that'll keep on trucking no matter what. I also called their customer service just to ask questions about the P226 and had no issues. You sure you're not thinking of Para?
Anyone in Arizona selling a handgun?
Please?
Pretty please?
Armslist is horrible.
