I have a 91/30 and it was fun until i built another 54R gun, They're not as god tier as everyone says they are in my opinion. I prefers da k98
well of course mosins are terrible in comparison to a more modern and precision engineered rifle. A mosin is a 120 year old design with only a few minor upgrades, they're just cheap and especially fun for the money you put into them.
Waiting for them mad mosineer replies :>
The only complaints I have about the mosin are the Sights and the Bolt. However, it costs 90-130$, and it goes bang when you pull the trigger.
I find firing my Mosin to be great fun, more fun than my SVT actually.
SVT woould be soooo much more fun.
Mosins are fun because they're cheap and easy to find parts for.
When you have a semi auto 54r gun or a bunch of other nice guns i promise you your mosin will collect dust.
SVT woould be soooo much more fun.
Aside from the light primer strikes I keep getting on my SVT, I just find it's not as fun as my Mosin. Just in general, the Mosin is more fun to shoot.
When you have a semi auto 54r gun or a bunch of other nice guns i promise you your mosin will collect dust.
buy me a Vepr in 54r or a psl and I'll do a scientific test to find out
The only reason my Mosin gets any action is because all my other guns are too expensive to shoot regularly. I honestly hate it. Once I get a pre-1900 (for historical/collecting purposes) I'm gonna get rid of my 91/30
Yeah I've shot enough of my friends mosins to know honestly, it's a shitty rifle that's only popular because of its price Ill buy one day for like $100 but that's it
It's a decent weapon for what it is, which is a 120-year-old infantry rifle built by and for illiterate peasants in mass production factories, and costs a fraction of a comparable Western weapon. Nowhere near as nice as a Mauser or Enfield, but you get what you pay for. I bought mine because I wanted something I could afford to buy and shoot, but with a bit more 'bang' than a .22. Some are accurate enough to be decent hunting weapons too.
God I wish I could get a cartridge converted Remington 1858 New Army. [t]http://i.imgur.com/yeboKVW.jpg[/t] They're just the sexiest looking revolvers ever in my opinion. Unfortunately the modern reproductions of them are only made in .45 Colt AFAIK, and Australia has that stupid calibre limit for handguns, so yay illegal!

I'm not a 'murrican, but since you guys are having crazy prices these days (still not Norway-prices though :v: ) this might be helpful for some of you: http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2013/04/09/winchester-tax-rebate/ It's an up to 8% tax rebate for WINCHESTER guns bought between April 15th through April 30th
Wasn't there someone here with a GSG STG-44 in .22lr? any comments or complaints on it?
Wasn't there someone here with a GSG STG-44 in .22lr? any comments or complaints on it?
plastic mags
if l85's were ever imported, id totally buy one
I wouldn't even buy an L85 if I got it in FA and legally in Norway
I can't really think of any bullpups I'd want to buy.
I'd get an L85 if I had the chance, I like their look
So I got my CMP M1 Carbine stock in today, and it is horrible. The stock won't fit with the action, and the upper handguard won't fit into the gun or sit properly with the stock. There is a big lip from the upper handguard aligning with the stock, and the wood grain/color on both is badly matched. 5/10 because they are the only place that newly manufactures WWII spec stocks. Ridge, how does yours fit? Did it come with the little metal piece that locks the barrel band onto the gun?
I'd have an AUG if anything
why is everyone scared of bullpups, i love them. granted ive never owned one yet but i love their looks [editline]10th April 2013[/editline] id buy a tavor or aug one day since thats possible
I'd like to have bullpups, but first I need to get an M16A4.
why is everyone scared of bullpups, i love them. granted ive never owned one yet but i love their looks [editline]10th April 2013[/editline] id buy a tavor or aug one day since thats possible
Eh, I semi-agree. My thing is the older ones lefties can't really fire without burning ourselves. I wouldn't mind shooting an F2000 or a P90 once; but I doubt I'd ever get the gumption to go and buy one. I'd like to tear one down and see how they work, though. Especially the latter's magwell.
I'd like to have bullpups, but first I need to get an M16A4.
I'd rather have an A1
I'd rather have an A1
Why not have both?
I shot a Tavor, it was disappointing, I was so looking forward to it too. It farted gas into my face on the first shot, an apparently common occurance, and I was expecting some recoil, but it was like shooting a .22, and that actually disappointed me. The only reason I'd want a bullpup is to give the Liberals and NDP a huge middle finger right in their ban-happy faces.
yeah a bullpup is a pretty "scary assault weapon" too so thats fun. also fantastic for CQB
Eh, I semi-agree. My thing is the older ones lefties can't really fire without burning ourselves.
Actually on most rifles you can switch the ejection to the left side... It's just that it requires a disassembly and can't be done on the fly for offhand firing (a thing you won't ever do)
