No luck finding a PTR so far... I may just go after a new handgun. Which is something I need anyway, since I sold or traded all of my handguns off. Anyone have experience with the Glock 32 / .357 SIG cartridge in general? I was curious about em.
Friend of my dad CC's a glock in .357 sig, and he really likes it.
I've read about them before, they seem to be really good rounds just kinda obscure and you'd have to order all your ammo online
Yeah, I saw what's-his-name's Sim-Media test with the .357 Sig and I was extremely impressed with the cavity and the depth. I still really want to find a box of Grizzly JHP for my .45, though... If only I had $60 to blow on ammo...
I shot a P226 in 357, it was nicely accurate.

On the 23 and 32 you can swap the barrels back and forth, and they both use the same mag. In my opinion, the Glock 23 is the way to go though. The 23 is capable of accepting the 32 barrel and the 19 barrel (although a 9mm conversion barrel is recommended). The 32 can convert to 9mm, but not from just a barrel swap, you would need the whole slide, which includes a different recoil spring. With the 23 you effectively have a 9mm, .40, and .357 Sig platform. As far as .357 SIG, it does what it is meant to do, which is match the performance of 125gr .357 magnums. Recoil is very similar (if not the exact same) to .40, if you have any experience with that. .357 SIG does shot at higher pressures than 9mm and .40 (those two shoot at the same pressure), which means that some .40 caliber guns can not shoot .357 SIG because of durability issues. That won't be a problem for you though, as you expressed interest in Glocks, which can handle the pressures. Lastly, if you believe in hydrostatic shock, the .357 SIG is one of the best rounds to induce it. Personally, there is more than enough evidence to prove HS exists, and nothing to prove otherwise. Still, some people refuse to believe it is nothing more than a myth. Virginia State Police have been one of the longest users of the .357 SIG. They have had multiple reports over the years where both humans and animals have been stopped in one shot from the .357 SIG, where their previous 9mm loads would take multiple shots on similar targets.
Found some 7.62x39 at Walmart, first time in a while so I bought 2 boxes Slow day of news [editline]16th April 2013[/editline] Unrelated, but how would you guys recommend selling a pistol at a gun show? With a rifle you can just sling it over your back with a flag in the barrel but you probably shouldn't be waving a pistol around
Usually I see people carry them in boxes/pistol carry cases
Hey guys, non gun owner here. Ok, my family is considering picking up a pistol and rifle for just target shooting and defense. I'm getting a Moist Nugget, but my ma can't figure out which handgun she wants. Her first choice was a Glock 19, then a Sig 1911, then a Taurus Judge. I'm supposed to help her decide but I haven't the first clue as to what would be best. She's looking for a compact pistol, either 9mm or .45, and she's a tiny French woman, so recoil needs to be manageable. What do you guys reccomend? Also I'm sorry if I don't know what I'm talking about, I'm new to this as well.
A Glock 19 would be excellent for her.
When are people going to stop being retarded over .22 bullets :(

For a first timer, stay away from the 1911 design. Another excellent choice is a small .38, like a J-Frame or LCR.

If she's not going to CC it, a glock 19 would be great.
Thanks for the input guys, the Glock will probably the one we'll end up getting. Thanks again

I used to own a G23 but I had to sell it. Good ol' bills catching up with me. Ridge, thank you for that PTR listing as well, appreciate it! Do you have the direct link to it?
Love my PTR to death. Great rifles.
So apparently late May-early June is when I can expect my Sig. If it's delayed again, because I'm impatient and want to buy like 3 other guns I'll cancel the order and get something else.
Dayum, I want this: http://www.egun.de/market/item.php?id=4374202

http://www.armslist.com/posts/1196730/charlotte-north-carolina-rifles-for-sale--russian-sks What should I offer this guy, as I've mentioned before I'm no expert on SKS pricing but I doubt 600 is the best deal I can find. For quick reference, it's a 1951 Russian SKS with matching parts.

Mine has the Vicker's mag release, extended slide stop, smooth trigger, and Trijicon night sights. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite guns to shoot.
Ok, before I get incinerated for the source, this is a really good story of CCW working brilliantly. The poster is an Army Drill Sergeant. http://www.fimfiction.net/blog/153665/wherein-i-almost-got-shankedshot-a-guy
Weren't some people here looking for some Balkan war stock sets for their AKM's? This place has some in stock.
