Yeah, I got it a year and a half ago for my birthday for $155. Went in the store, they had a crate sitting freshly opened on the floor. Hopped in, nabbed this one because it felt and looked the best. Really didn't know anything about Nuggets at the time other than hex-tops were generally better than round-tops. Also I'm keeping it. >:(
I wouldn't sell it either, that's a nice rifle. [editline]3rd April 2013[/editline]
Anyone ever use one of these before? It'd be fun to shoot at something different than 2 liters full of water with my mosin and handgun and stuff. Would it actually be safe or last if I fire my M44 or AK at it?
There, now you aren't at the bottom of the page anymore.
thanks :3
If the steel is as good as they say it is, it should hold.
thanks :3
I haven't used THAT target, but mine are basically the same thing. I go to scrap metal recyclers and they almost always have some fairly thick (nearly 1/2 inch, up to 2 inches) scrap they let go for cheap. Usually its just the price per pound. You might call a local scrap yard.
If you're not shooting at TVs and cars you're doing it wrong.
Do worthless computers count as TVs for your logic to hold true, Jagur? Because if you haven't shot up an RRODed xbox, you haven't lived!
Do worthless computers count as TVs for your logic to hold true, Jagur? Because if you haven't shot up an RRODed xbox, you haven't lived!
sure, but i never made the mistake of buying an xbox in the first place.
I once shot a CRT monitor. While switched on.
sure, but i never made the mistake of buying an xbox in the first place.
The new ones aren't that bad, but I think I'm definitely going to go with a PS4 if I actually feel so inclined in the next gen. But I digress, I'm getting off topic. I really want to take my Colt to the range, but I'm cheap and have no targets to shoot at... :/
I've always wondered this myself. Isn't there some huge ricochet hazard when shooting metal plates?
They're not the exact targets, and they're definitely not as close of a shot as some IPSC shots here in the states have you do on metal targets; but they're usually safe, so long as the metal is stronger than the bullet being fired. I shoot my .22 at a smaller one all the time with weaker metal that's far cheaper. They have ones designed all the way up to .50 BMGs. Usually they are designed to have the bullet fragment when hit, but keep a forward momentum so that the fragments don't fly backwards, but in a 'safe' direction. (Usually airborne or straight to the sides/down.) Here's one example. You can clear hear the clinks every time a metal target is hit.
Just don't use too much Tannerite for targets, or you know, the Anti-Terrier-Force knocks on your door :v:
I shoot iPhones and Xboxs and paper and cans and bottles and animals and...

It's amazing my state hasn't capsized and sunk into the ocean. Yet a 3rd politician here has belittled the life of one of her constituents...
Random question out of curiosity: How loud would a 7.62x54r round loaded with only the primer be? No bullet or powder, just the brass and primer, fired out of a 91/30
-snop- why do i post

Most super quiet ammo has a bit of powder too because squibs should be avoided at all costs.
If there is no bullet, there'll be no squib.
I just shoot cans, mostly. Targets when I need to sight stuff in.
Ordinarily, I do as well when I'm on private land. The problem is, I'm not, a vast majority of the time. Here, all the ranges require you buy or have paper targets to shoot, typically.
How is surplus 7.62x25 money wise shipped or not? A family friend is getting into guns and he wants a Tokarev in the classic chambering but thinks a 9x19 model would be friendlier since he already has a bunch of it (something like 250+) given to him by his dad when he switched from a 9mm Kimber to a Glock 23.
Anybody know if these EAA Windicator .357s are a good buy?

It's pretty much the same as being prejudiced because of your upbringing and voting against ending segregation, because you are ignorant of the issue.

In this market it's probably even worse.

Picked her up the other day from a local gun trading/selling forum. The camo has some serious cosmetic damage (though you can't really see it in the pic due to camera phone), and I'm thinking of ordering some Duracoat to help polish it off. I think the previous owner literally spraypainted the gun, and the paint is falling off in flat chunks. Other than that, she's got a 30 inch barrel and a 6+1 tube. Mossberg Maverick 88 by the way.
