No. Trains are MUCH faster than cars providing it's intercity. For example it takes One and a half hours to get from London to Leeds by train, by car it takes around 4 hours.

Yeah trains are a lot faster. But for some reason it takes me around the same time to get to Newbury by car or train. If I took the train I have to change 5 times and I only live 20 minutes south of London. :/

At times like these , I'd wish I was either 16 / 18 and actually had money lying around.
