Still too far to drive down.
Trains are awesome.
Trains are awesome.
Not when you're carrying a watercooled rig and a 22" TFT they aren't.
I wish I had the time or money to come to this, hopefully it will be a bash for you guys.
I may be attending, went to the previous one, all I smelt was pizza and ballsweat. Still, its fun.
I wish I had the time or money to come to this, hopefully it will be a bash for you guys.
If you can find the time and spending money, I may be able to buy your entry ticket for you.
Trains are awesome.
Sure because everyone wants to change trains 5 times and spend 5 hours getting there.
Seeing as it's further down south, I might attend.
Probably going, if my PC is fixed by then. It's only 30 minutes by car. :buddy:
Something to do before I die Attend a LAN with other facepunchers.
Sure because everyone wants to change trains 5 times and spend 5 hours getting there.
No. Trains are MUCH faster than cars providing it's intercity. For example it takes One and a half hours to get from London to Leeds by train, by car it takes around 4 hours.

But for some reason it takes me around the same time to get to Newbury by car or train. If I took the train I have to change 5 times and I only live 20 minutes south of London. :/
Again, I'd go to this but it's just too far. :( I'll probably go to the next one if it's back at the normal venue.
this is the normal venue. it was only at stoneleigh for like 3 events
People do it all the time here, usually when people are too poor or lazy to get a plane ticket they tend to just drive hundreds or even thousands of Miles to get where they want. And there's lots of diversity and things to see as you go from state through state. I mean, if I had the money for gas n stuff, I would totally drive across the USA to see something like this, since almost 90% of the time game things like this are directly on the east or west coast. (I live right in the middle)
It'll cost like $120 in "gas" to get there, not to mention the roads will be crowded as fuck and it might even take longer than 6 hours because of road works I just can't afford it
I'd come but no money for plain ticket there and back, ticket, train and other shit.
It'll cost like $120 in "gas" to get there, not to mention the roads will be crowded as fuck and it might even take longer than 6 hours because of road works I just can't afford it
I'm trying to convince my dad to come this time, it means that you and Gary would only have to travel to my house, then dad would take us in the beamer and we'd split the gas money. He said we'll talk about it in a bit.
i live i the south of england but i can't be bothered :D [editline]07:33PM[/editline]
It'll cost like $120 in "gas" to get there, not to mention the roads will be crowded as fuck and it might even take longer than 6 hours because of road works I just can't afford it
dude i swear you lived in england remember you mean "£" and petrol/diesel

Put me down as a Definite (early arrival), I'll be paying in the next few weeks. Also, anyone down south fancy going to TheBigGame at Southampton (piss-cheap, and over a weekend)? [editline]08:46AM[/editline] Oh fuck you and your lists bengay
Is it only 1 day? Or is it more?
Is it only 1 day? Or is it more?
uhh it's a weekend (2nd through 5th), and you can take early arrival to get there 6PM on the 1st
uhh it's a weekend (2nd through 5th), and you can take early arrival to get there 6PM on the 1st
And spend most of that time queuing!
uhh it's a weekend (2nd through 5th), and you can take early arrival to get there 6PM on the 1st
Ahh alright. Thanks. One more question. On the 5th does it end like we all leave or is that just the last day we play and we pack up on the 6th? Shit son. Cost me $838 for the whole event. (That is price for flight(Both ways), train(Both ways), and event cost plus extra on the way back.) I think I make that much in a couple months. Sign me up. (Maybe under might go but there is possibility.)
The 5th is the day you pack up and go home.
Ok that makes sense now. Can you still stay in the indoor camping area until the 6th or no?
Ok that makes sense now. Can you still stay in the indoor camping area until the 6th or no?
You have to leave the venue on the fifth.
At times like these , I'd wish I was either 16 / 18 and actually had money lying around. nor am I good at WoW , CoD , CS:S... or really any of the current games there. If only killing floor was one of them.
I prefer stoneleigh instead of newbury. Sure, Indoor camping is nice if it's cold outside... but august shouldn't be too bad. Either way, I'm going to i40 :D
Also, if I'm coming I'm probably going with a friend, so I may or may not be sitting with you guys.
Where is facepunch siting anyways? Or are we just not sitting together?
Where is facepunch siting anyways? Or are we just not sitting together?
I don't think any of us have booked yet. Some of us will sit in the facepunch row, some will not.
