I'm willing to go but I don't know if Curt can because he's mandated to work until January or something Maybe over christmas break? (which mine goes until the 2nd of Jan) I wish I knew where my KWA M9 is though, I haven't a clue as to where I put it, at least I have my Galaxy.

Timebomb & anyone else who makes airsoft mortars and stuff, what do you use for triggers? I have a design pretty much figured out that I'd like to make, i just know nothing about valves or anything, so i don't know what to look for. I need a valve that just dumps all the air from the air tank into the barrel. No idea if that's efficient or not, but it's all i know.
I was my brother's 5th birthday present. we were born on the same day 5 years apart
yeah me and my brother are like that i was his 4th birthday present, my mum was the wrapping paper my mum didnt need to get a cesarian just my bro wanted it to feel like his b-day
I need a valve that just dumps all the air from the air tank into the barrel. No idea if that's efficient or not, but it's all i know.
The idea is basically that the faster you dump the air from the tank to the barrel, the better. I personally use a QEV as the main valve and a slide valve as a trigger. The QEV (quick evacuation valve) is designed to essentially instantly dump all of the air into the barrel. Slide on the left, QEV on the right Basically this setup allows you to constantly keep the air source connected to the mortar, so as soon as you fire it (by pulling back on the slide valve then pushing it forward) the pressure tank IMMEDIATELY starts filling again, so by the time you have it reloaded, you're all ready to fire again. It allows for some seriously rapid fire, like 30 RPM
What do you use for air sources? My plan was to hook up a bike pump to the mortar itself and just pump it full again for the next shot, no idea how well it'll work because i don't know the sort of pressure needed to launch a tennis ball any reasonable distance. Here's the shitty design i threw together just now in photoshop. [img_thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/9988278/airsoft2012/projects/mortar1.jpg[/img_thumb] I know nothing about working with compressed air and making things that launch stuff, so any advice is welcome.
I'm back from my first game of the winter, it was awesome except that I didn't have any gloves so every part of my body except my hands were warm. One guy there who is a recruiter got cold and stuck his head through the arm of a t-shirt and wore that as a mask. It also rained a lot the day before so there were a lot of big puddles which made the map more interesting. My friend decided to go tunnel rat and crawl under the map to pop up behind people. There was supposed to be a milsim event but it got cancelled, so there were still a lot of people that came for the skirmishes. We played a few games with three teams of three, and we'd pick our starting point in the town area and my team ended up in a little 5x5ft building where we received fire from all sides and died. Then some army guys showed up and the teams turned into people who are marines, people who are in the army, and then the civilians which I was on. Our last round was a little Black Hawk Down type game played like capture the flag where there were people in a town defending, and then people out in the woods who had to rescue the pilot (just a big ragdoll). What ended up happening was a left side flank from the marines (marines and army were one team that round) and then the army guys got into the town on the right side when we had all our fire on the flankers. We stopped playing after about 5 hours because people had to go home, and my friend and I's ride got delayed, so some people my friends knew let us stay in their car until our ride showed up (it was in the 30s Fahrenheit, and the strong wind made it worse, plus it got dark early). Six of us in a car for two hours talking and making jokes, I sat in the way back with everyone's gear, and then the girlfriend of the guy who let us stay in his car had what I think was an endless supply of snacks, which is really all I had to eat the whole day. Really nice people. Then on the ride back we got Burger King and cinnamon buns. There's a larger milsim event in January which already has 150 people registered, I just need a pair of gloves and some camo.
we got Burger King
you done good, son.
Core barrels from Clandestine yay or nay?
Hey guys, just another shameless plug. We'd really love if any of you could donate something. We think we're asking for a menial amount of money compared to people on indiegogo asking for half a million dollars to write a book or develop a new cake. In all honesty, we would've asked for less but it wouldn't let us. Even if you can't donate, spread the word to your friends, or on your favorite forum. We'd love you forever and really want to get this off the ground. Thanks everyone <3 http://www.indiegogo.com/eridanitechnologiesinnovationfund
I kind of like how that echo1 Timberwolf thing looks over a normal glock. I cant quite place what it is about it, but I like it
Gen 1 glock 4lyfe
It looks faintly like an FNP 45 though and I like that. I mean look at this [editline]23rd December 2012[/editline] Thats a real glock with the timberwolf frame, but still
i was about to say "what model fnp is that"

Why make your glock look like an FNS when you could just buy the FNS for cheaper?
cause they dont exist in airsoft yet
...touché good sir. Then again I was just gonna buy a real one anyways since I can't bring myself to buy a real glock
My uncle has a Glock, and it's all fine and dandy (especially with 33-round mags, mmm) until the Fudds show up in the range stall next to you and either a) talk to you about how 9mm is terrible, b) try to tell you that polymer frame pistols will melt on you, c) tell you that real men only need a wheel gun, or d) actually be cool people and then you can share guns and stuff.
Personally I prefer steel frame and external hammered handguns. I really want a Browning HP and a CZ75. Obviously I want a 1911 too, but I've held the FNS 9 and I instantly fell in love with the gun sweetest trigger I've ever felt and it just fit perfectly in my hand. I don't really have anything against glock, I kinda like them, just for the price I'll take the FNS
I've always liked the Steyr M9-A1
The first time I fired a glock it stovepiped on me on my 5th shot. I think I have the worst luck in the world.
