I'm thinking I might actually do Blacksheep this year so we just need to work out what team and what theme. I don't have any tan camo so honestly I'm good for anything.
DCU is official IFAP camo and it's not too expensive But again, if FAPPAT becomes a real thing then I'm aaalll for using it.
I guess it would come down to what team we could get on. If we're Kiddie Diddlers we'll be disgruntled Vet Kiddie Diddlers. And if we're tan we'll be Delta Force. Which is easy, all I have to do is buy a black bicycle helmet, a black vest and wear a LBV over it. If I made a Vietnam loadout though, I wouldn't buy a real steel pot. Too heavy, fuck that. I'd get a fiberglass one or something and put MICH pads and helmet strap system in it for 100% period correctness.
I'd want to be Rangers over Deltas, though Deltas would be easier
How old are you even Deathmog? I always saw you as a really short 18+ year old guy. Also expect me at HVA soonish. Probably not this weekend. Maybe not even that next weekend. But soon. Once I get the last of my JGSDF I'm going to start bringing friends from work and family to play.
16 :v: [editline]27th December 2012[/editline] I can't wait to see it, your JGSDF kit the last time I saw it (or at least a picture of it) it was pretty boss.
I'm thinking I might actually do Blacksheep this year so we just need to work out what team and what theme. I don't have any tan camo so honestly I'm good for anything.
We'll most likely run DCU
OHH THAT GUY. That was bullshit. [editline]27th December 2012[/editline] I'm just saying. We should all do Nam' themed loadouts and call each other by flamboyent nicknames while blasting Fortunate Son.
can i be the dollar hooker who runs up to you guys and starts grinding on you after you wipe out a squad saying "good time only dolla, good time long time"
That's what's got me on the fence about Blacksheep. It's expensive enough and 'serious' enough to get all the tryhard competitive types, and that mentality and the honor system don't mix well.
We have these exact kind here, though they're more into Magpul beltrigs just for that tiny extra bit of mobility. I have trouble with almost all of their guys, and I'm running out of bad things I can't say they've done. In a "real" fight where their side isn't stacked with too many DMs and easybutton rules, they suck hard. I've witnessed a well-planned defense completely devastated because of just two of these guys, who apparently are too good to need cover. My new haunt where I hide from these shenanigans is a great example. Most of them are cool because they're there for fun, but there's that one team who think they're leetsauce that everyone has problems with.
those guys in that video lmao I could see so many bbs bouncing off of them in pretty much plain sight and they never call out that they've been hit, fuckin tryhards
someone make an underbarrel mounted galaxy mp5k
You're over an entire year late: Also, here's an illustrated graphic of what you do on this forum:
fuck i want to go to the next ifap blacksheep event so bad, if i could get those days off work i totally will (as long as one of you lends me a gun)
Trust me, there'll be guns to be had for you.
"I had fun once and it was awful!" -GMR Motto
Another similar squad, SCD, got pissed off at me when I asked them if they were having fun during the FRAGO brief.
additional noting of each guy calling them out being called "Whiney Douche" in the subtitles lmao
Apparently their leader is a douchebag who went nuclear when Timebomb lit him up with a flamethrower.
Details please
I remember one game where these two players were sitting in cover hiding from us and we had one guy crazy enough to flank them and got up on both of them and tapped them both with his knife saying "knife kill" and they both turned around and lit him up. At first when he said that part we all assumed that they just got scared and did it. They did it out of pure spite and said "fuck your knife kill". Now it's all hot air from that point till you think about getting shot from full auto AEG's shooting around 400FPS point blank. He had a fuckton of velts and those players haven't been seen since. I've never been knife killed before. I've been bang bang'd before cause the player took the mercy not to shoot me point blank and I've done the same and sometimes I've pulled the trigger and i feel so damn sorry and apologize for it after game. I've seen lots of drama from players complaining at players or mid-firefight saying "HEY YOUR HIT FUCKER" and It's like really? Leave it for after the game if it's super serious ref's can take care of it. Trust me the best way to play is to show up, load up, shoot up, go home. The second you get too deep into the community sometimes your nearly forced to take sides, and it sucks alot.
This is why I hang out with bros and stay away from drama lyf let the general populace sort out cheaters, credibility and reputation will sort those fukes out
It also works well the other way around. If you have a very strong community that you are well into everything works out great. New guys, rentals and especially teams that come along (teams that have spend £1000s on just kit) should be regarded with suspicion. If you break the rules or take the piss you get barred and thrown out. I could never play at a large commercial site with a high turn over of people. They have no obligation to play honourably. One thing I've learned though is rules create drama - always. If there is a rule, it will be tested, bent and it will become a massive shouting match issue at some point. Bang kills and knife kills only create drama, even if they are safe or funny. Want CQB to be safer? Single shot only, and nothing over 328 fps (in the uk). If their gun is shooting hot, they signed a form to get into the site. Get your site to forward their details to the police. Their gun will be confiscated and taken apart for being suspected to be a firearm if it shoots above 1J. A bang kill is a mercy, you should only ever do it if you're behind someone. "Bang Kill, accept?" "Accepted" They need to agree to it. You can't just run around going "bang bang bang" like a retard expecting people to take your magical hits. You're asking them to take a hit, not telling them to take a hit. If they turn around just shoot them - that's what happens in airsoft. Knife kills? Stop and think. Running up and tagging people with your hand will confuse them. Confusion makes people angry and stupid. It will cause drama. If you're using a plastic or resin knife, just fucking stop - a lot of people don't appreciate being jabbed with a hard plastic shank. Not only does that confuse them, it hurts and it pisses them off - you're going to run into trouble. Yes, some people do it as a challenge, I think it's hilarious and I love it, but, if you are going to do it - do it properly. No one could possibly confuse your intentions with that, and you're not going to hurt them, and, it's fucking hilarious. I've had a foam cutlass kept under my belt for the past couple of years incase I ever get the chance to use it, and I've never had any problems with it. Every time someone has to reload I'll look and weigh it up, and if it looks like they are taking their time I'll charge straight at them with it. If your intentions are obvious 9 times out of 10 they will take the hit. You can't be awkward as fuck when doing something like that, you need to make it funny and obvious. Just don't get mad when they turn around and shoot you if there's no knife kill rule. If they go full auto mental on you, do what is appropriate for your site, which could be anything from trying to get a marshal to kick them out for dangerous play or, if you're on a less official site, kick the shit out of them and tell them to never come back for being a cunt. Simply put, the only rules sites should ever enforce are range/fps/semi+auto rules to keep people safe in CQB. Everything else is a gentleman's agreement that can back fire - but hey, if it does you have extra lives and you don't treat them like a gentleman anymore. If you bang kill someone out of mercy, some day you will get asked to take a bang kill rather than get a welt on your arse.
actually, most fields around my place don't allow jabbing/stabbing/whacking with the knife, to properly knife kill someone, you tap their shoulder (with the knife) and inform the opposing player that they are dead most cases taking a knife out when the enemy is a foot away from said player is a hassle, so people do the bang rule more often; I definitely see the bang rule as a courtesy. Even one time, I was caught in the open with a guy pointing his gun at me already and I was facing the other way, and he was 20ft away - way outside the bang range but he offered me to call myself out rather than to unload on me to secure the kill I respect shit like that
Exactly, it's a courtesy. You ask, you don't demand. If you want to offer them a painless way out of a shitty situation you ask them. If they want to try avoiding a certain end, let them.
and then retards take advantage of that shit and do stupid shit like ~revenge~ and unload back
I really want to get a set of chainmail, a tabbard, and a nerf sword, then dress my glock up with some wood to make it a crossbow and use that as a loadout. everybody would be confused as fuck. Sorry, the melee kill discussion and the lancelot video inspired me.
Details please
I wasn't there, I know some of the FP guys were but this was long before I got into airsoft, he's just told me the story. IIRC it was like they tried breaching and expected him to surrender or something, so he gave them the hose, and they got mad.
When i say bang bang or twice and they don't raise there hands or make any quick jerk move with there weapon i'll shoot. But the thing is every time i've said it they've taken it cause you have a choice here, BB hitting you point blank at around 300-320FPS or you walking away without pain Same with knife kills which i've never done, You tap them with your knife and you better have a pistol ready if they don't take it.
most of the fields around us require bang out kills under fifteen feet
most of the fields around us require bang out kills under fifteen feet
Ten, but I only bang out people I'd feel bad about shooting. If its 8 feet face-to-face with a MLG pr0 360 quickshotz sniper kid, I'll light him up.
One time i was playing and my entire team got rushed, and some guy walks around a corner and stares at me, and he is like 10 feet away, and just goes "your not on my team are you?" and I just nodded and he is like "Either you can try to raise your gun and shoot me, at which point I will shoot you, or you can stand up and walk to respawn." I walked to respawn :/

Several of them surrounded me and offered me to walk out dead to avoid anyone getting lit up unnecessarily.
i dont specifically remember what gun the guy had, but I remember it was one that was most likely going to hurt
Even if fields don't nessecarily use the bang rule i still think it's just common courtesy to avoid lighting people up at close range. I was defending some objective at a site i went to once when me and some friends were checking out different places to play, i was covering one end of this round topped bunker whilst my friends were covering the others, them on top of the bunker and me hiding in the stairwell down to the side with brick walls for cover. My friends died left and the other team moved up without me noticing, i turned and looked through some holes in the brickwork and there was some guy on the enemy team lying pretty much on the opposite side from where my friends had been, about 3ft away from me, i poked my M14 through the hole in the brickwork and tapped him on the shoulder with the end of it, he took one look at me and said 'yeah i'll take that', got up and walked off :v:
Trust me, there'll be guns to be had for you.
oooooo do i get to try out your 870 c:
http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_45_240&products_id=25033 I am tempted. I am very very tempted.
do eetttt its so sexy
so I've finally decided on the T77, and I'm just going to try and fit a rail on the underside of it for a foregrip because thats the main thing going against it. Also its cheaper and leaves me with more money for other things [editline]28th December 2012[/editline] then I get to be in the Taiwanese gun club. And I'll be a special snowflake~
