It gets a little trickier since the SR-3 has an actually useful thumb selector switch, but from what I can tell there's a lever piece that connects in the same way as a regular AK selector:

I've never owned or worked on an AK, so this is still a bit of guesswork from me.

I've been thinking, is it really worth for me to spend ca $400 on a uniform + vest + other small misc items to be rossia, or just $200 for vest + pouches + small misc items to be PMC-ish
What to do, IFAP? I'm not playing that much either, so the rossia will be more waste of monies, except it's good to have if masquerade or movie-things

Yeah, if you check the kit view of the VAL you can see the hopup poking out of the outer. Inner barrel will be nice to have, but I suppose I won't know if its any good or not until I get it. The good news is that it looks like an MP5 length barrel on the SR-3, so I don't think I'll have any issue replacing it with something fancy.
I'm just infinitely glad that NPO decided to make as many things non-proprietary as possible.

fuck, that came out wrong - sorry, I meant that the kit does [i]not[/i] come with a hopup and inner barrel and you need to get both those items if you bought the standalone kit

Instead of a gearbox you should just drop a 10/22 in there and take that with you airsofting.
