lol guess what's not selling in taiwan
THIS GUN
it kind of disappoints me though, people over there aren't too big on GBBRs and the failure to market might be why lots of stuff don't make it over here.
I wonder what it's range is, because it seems to be really nice.
the selector is very grey

So fucking making this, looks like it could be somewhat fun.
How to make it use co2 is the question.
Video tags not working dunno why.

I think you'd pretty much have to replace everything to make it useable, if you want a double barrel I'd take a Goblin Deuce and build a badass kit around it. The firing mechanism is pretty easy to work with too from what I hear.
It's more just cheap fun, the car broke down and I didnt have the tools or the time to fix it, I now have zero money for the next few weeks, I might even have to sell my airsoft kit now.
Figured it would be a fun distraction.
I just got an email from "grace@evike.com", and it's just a generic email with shipping info. USPS, 1-3 day first class, blah blah.
This would all be normal except the last thing that I ordered wouldn't ship USPS and already left their warehouse Monday, and the only thing that was on back order hasn't shipped yet and won't for a few more days. I called asking what it was, and the woman on the phone told me she was going to check. After 10 minutes she comes back and tells me she has no idea what the hell it is. :tinfoil:
Speaking of the Goblin, Timebomb and I just tested a Solo that he got in the mail today and we are seriously concerned that the airsoft shells could cause pain and anger- the BBs flew so fast we couldn't track them. So we took a paintball shell, poured BBs in it, and Scotch taped over the top, and it punted 16 BBs at a much more reasonable muzzle velocity. Definitely going to be fun in CQB.
would it be possible to chrono them?

Good to know, but keep in mind that sometimes a standard chrono will add up the speeds of all the projectiles it tracks, so the airsoft shells may or may not be shooting at a safe speed. How exactly are the shells powered/filled anyways?
if its adding up the speeds, cant you just divide by the number of bbs fired?

Probably can't chrono it. Just visually I'd guess they were a little under 300 with the paintball shells, as it was similar to my shotgun, whereas with the airsoft shell we could not track the BBs at all. They were just gone, definitely way too powerful to be shooting anyone up close.
The shells are two parts, a gas reservoir and a plastic tube. The gas reservoir is filled from a CO2 tank using an included adapter, then the tube slides over it and holds the projectiles. It's pretty straightforward and doesn't seem to leak like the Hwasans, and the package comes with a whole bunch of O-rings for the shells too.
It's not really practical, but it sure is fun. Damn loud too, the tape over the paintball shells in particular gives it a wonderful BANG that even 40mm don't match.
if its adding up the speeds, cant you just divide by the number of bbs fired?
The issue is that you don't know how many bb's the chrono is tracking, and that most chronos don't measure over 999fps, so he probably isn't getting any kind of reading at all.
interesting, the firing videos ive seen on youtube show the bbs going about as fast as a standard bb shower launcher.

some kid is trying to sell his "G&G DMR" on facebook
[sp]its a combat machine with a tightbore, eotech and bipod[/sp]
Got my RBA in the mail today. Had the coolest packaging. Was inside a big manila envelope tied in twine. Had Hong Kong stink on the inside though. :v: I'll give reports on how it holds up, see if it's consistent with /vandy/'s or not.

funny because my friend has a G&G DMR which is a Combat Machine with a 20" rail system and a 3-9x40 scope with a tightbore

See, that's with propane, which is about 105 PSI. CO2 has a vapor pressure of about 850PSI at room temp, so it's much higher power.
The airsoft shell is also pretty poorly made, the BBs fall out the front very easily so it has to be taped over to be effective anyways. Just filling the paintball shell is more practical.

Wait, you're putting unregulated CO2 in these things? Holy fuck now I understand why that's dangerous.
Actually, the CO2 adapter seems to be some kind of fixed regulator, so it's almost certainly not 850PSI. But it's definitely damn powerful. Timebomb's taking pictures right now and may make a writeup.
practicing reloading for no reason is like the best thing ever
practicing reloading for no reason is like the best thing ever
i found a youtube video once of a kid with a clear spring pistol practicing his "sleight of hand reload"
he took the empty mag out then put it back in again like 6 times claiming he was ~~reload master~~
I need to poast in here more often.
Allow me to share my glorious plan with you fine gentlemen.
As of about a half hour ago I received a new, kickin' rad motor and a pre-AoE'd piston to replace my aging and unsuitable VFC piston. Tomorrow some time I'm expecting an r-hop patch, m-nub, and sorbo pad. The goal here is to come close to or breach 30 RPS for laying pain down, and gaining roughly 30-50 feet extra range minimum to hit the smug arses at "other" fields who can't bear to lay down their DMRs. To give you an idea the r-hop retains a considerable amount of accuracy even with automatic fire, I'm told, which should increase the horror somewhat. If all goes according to plan, at least the former goal should be met by the skirmish on the weekend.
tl;dr I'm achieving what local people believe is impossible, and then turning it loose on the elitist monstrosities I have to live with.

but did he put the empty mag into a pouch or pocket before reinserting into the pistol?
or was he just like
removing the mag and then immediately putting it back in
hey so ever since i got my m16 like 2 years ago i've always tried to split the receiver but never could get it to budge past like a few milimeters of being open

2nd one
hey so ever since i got my m16 like 2 years ago i've always tried to split the receiver but never could get it to budge past like a few milimeters of being open
are u sliding it forward or pivoting it like a real AR receiver
mine was a pain to split, but i just wiggled it around for a bit and it worked
im doing it right, the things just like glued or something
[editline]10th January 2013[/editline]
gonna not do this because every time i tried nothing happens and i dont want to fuck shit up until its absolutely necessary.
on a side note, just fixed the barrel wobble
Have you tried pulling the charging handle whilst sliding it forward? Might be caught on something on the gearbox.

yeah, its probably just stuck in their by glue or something
