i thought you said that was an m16vn and also i kind of want an LBV, how do they compare to ALICE?

alice is a belt LBV is a vest ALICE belt can actually attach to LBV vest !!! (which is what i originally got it for but i just have it separate now because it works) [editline]10th January 2013[/editline] and yeah it is an m16vn?? [editline]10th January 2013[/editline] the LBV itself has 4 mag pouches. a mag pouch for 2 stanags and a pouch for one stanage on each side. they are secured by both velcro and a snap button. there are also 2 grenade pouches that are secured the same way and they hold grenades or whatever small bullshit you want to put in them.

so is it worth getting an LBV or should i just stick with my ALICE gear and that's an M16a2 with a triangular handguard, what do the markings on the lower reciever say?

yeah. hence m16 VN (as opposed to m16a1 or m16) because i have no idea what to actually call it and thats what echo 1 calls it [editline]10th January 2013[/editline] LBV can work stand alone alright but if you use it with an alice belt its got a lot of load carrying capability 4 sho. it's closer to an M16A1 than some of the 'vn' M16s i've seen like my local airsoft store which has an 'M16VN w/M203' which is just an M16a3 with an m203 and heatshield and my friend's dad who has an M16a3 with a triangular handguard and refuses to beleive it's not an A1 he also claims M16 mags don't work in M4s and that they only make and have only ever made flat top AR uppers and detachable carry handles not sure if idiot or just spectacularly stubborn

he is stupid by its definition. also it really isn't, its a m16a2 lower and upper.
