Early gorkas were worn by the soviets in afghanistan (albeit with their gorkas unbuttoned to the max)
Also I wore a MOPP suit + plate carrier combination twice in hot weather. (Kinda like an Invasion of Iraq setup) I have to say gorkas are more comfy in hot weather
but im fat and sweat a lot

Yeah I'd love to get a Gorka but it seems only to be useful for just over half the year. Sprinting around in the summer is pretty straining but wearing what is essentially a very thick coat doesn't seem practical, comfy yes but well ventilated, n.
While Gorkas are expensive, usage for half of the year seems just fine to me. Its not like your forced to wear it in the summer, and I imagine you can get quite a few years out of a quality gorka. Not to mention that when you are using it, you'll be in pretty much perfect shape for cold weather airsofting.
I just got some 85/15 cotton / poly tropentarn pants and I will never get anything else for summer, they're so light and comfortable and breathable it's stupid.

gorkas worn alone is actually pretty fucking cold in chilly weather
you gotta wear something under or freeze your balls off (unless you have the super duper cold weather gorka - forget what it was called though)
In that case would you happen to know where I could get some sexy summer russian bdus. I'd rather purchase those before the gorka so I can obviously use them first then get the gorka somewhere near august.

Would really like to go, but I have absolutely no gear/loadout other than my MK36 and a full face mask for CQB. Haven't seen Ccharlton on the forums in a while, so maybe he'll see this. Would be cool to have another IFAP at this op.
I actually heard about it from overhearing some 12 yo talking about his "AK foty seven" with "tactical rails" and "side stock". For sure there's going to be plenty of these kids there.

You should wear a bright orange vest with pockets to confuse the hell out of people.
Oh god
My next helmet is in NY customs
I hope to god it won't get held up like the maska for a month... :tinfoil:
Also I'm gonna film the game with a gopro
I'm back now and i forgot my fucking gopro ;_;
in other news, my 1911 has longer range and precision than my AK.
VODKA VODKA BALALAIKA INDEED!
Do this for maximum warmth in winter
Undershirt + T-Shirt + Sweater + Winter Flora, + Gorka
Your nipples will be sweating for ever
Help I'm freezing to death!
Am I the only one who thinks playing in a t-shirt when it's cold is comfortable?
Call me nuts, but when it's cold I don't usually feel the need to layer up as I heat up and sweat anyway once the meatgrinding starts.
Well, just asking but how cold does Fresno get?
Some of us live in colder places mang
I wore a thermal layer, a tshirt, and a fleece last time I went in the cold and it was 15 degrees and I was sweating.

Arizona "cold" =/= cold
It was about 10 degrees farenheit when I played on Saturday. I stayed warm with just a t shirt and my army fleece over that.
It was cold as fuck at the beginning, then you got used to it quick. Same thing happened after lunch break.
also my trishot still works lol
I was fine except for my feet
My buddy just got Bates boots... SO JEALOUS! Also he brought me back a original WWII German M40 bread bag picked up by his grandfather when he lived overseas from a battlefield he had to evacuate across during a battle. His grandfather went back to the battlefield afterwards and picked up this bread bag off a ripped belt and up until now he had it in Australia. Best friends 5ever.
I might go to a cqb-game this sunday, depending on how I feel after Gunz 4 Hire on Monday Bar on saturday night :v:
If I'm going, I will bring my GoPro!
Don't forget it like it did!
Nejrå!
And on wednesday or thursday, I'm most probably getting my fn57 fixed
My tactical fanny pack was a success yesterday, I like it a lot for skirmishing actually. I carried 4 mid caps and my dead rag but I only really use that at ops. I might get a flashmag or two at some point, one of my friends bought a Bravo one (they didn't have the lonex type) from the field shop to see how well it worked for him. In the full auto areas I blow through my ammo and it's always the worst times that I run out of ammo because they're tiny mids.
i fucking hate shipping
my USPS package managed to go from honolulu to new york perfectly fine, but then ended up on the wrong side of the hudson river
and my UPS package was delayed TWICE due to severe weather conditions, this time because there was 2 centimeters of powder snow on my driveway.
evike has b6acs now in case you don't want to buy from hobbyking for some reason
Or Hobbypartz which is better :v:
Saw this photo on my local field's fb
