If we can find a super broken Tanaka (as if there's any other kind lol), we might be in luck. Considering both the Marushin and the Tanaka are based around real steel size, it might end up being a really simple swap too.

Actually, that's not gonna work out because the Tanaka receiver is the actual receiver for the gun. Tanaka shotties don't use outer shells :(

No no, they use shells, but not receiver shells. There's nothing for you to jam the Marushin guts into.
However, looking back you could probably convert your M500 into a Trench Gun pretty easily, they look very similar:
