Hey so for those of you guys that run with like legitimate vest setups such as CIRAS/ huegvest and have onehundred pouches strapped to yourself do you never miss running around with just your gun+some mags?
Because damn, I totally understand the appeal of it all and its place within the sport but I could never justify the bulk when I could be not just as effective but MORESO without it all.
And I totally understand it being an enjoyable hobby to emulate military dress because I have camo out my ass and my friends just don't get it. I'm talking about as far as gameplay goes.
I find that all I need is:
-BDU's/Boots/Gloves/Balaclava
-A small chest rig with a bunch of mags
-dump pouch (arrives tomorrow, have always wanted one)
-some ammo in case I run dry mid-game
-secondary.
-hydration pack
If I put on a helmet and a huge vest that covers the entirety of my torso then I wouldn't be nearly as mobile. But then again I love to be as fast as I can when I play hints my love of MP5.

Depends where I'm playing. If it's a CQB indoor field, I just run with a drop leg, sneakers, jeans, BDU top, and a pistol. If I go to an outdoor field, its time to gear up: Helmet, CIRAS, Boots, full BDUs, and most of my AEGs

My fucking L85 was stolen from my car today, I had it in a locked gun case because this afternoon I was going to go up on the mountain onto my friends land for a quick after class skirmish, but someone broke my fucking window and stole all the money in my center console and my case.
I reported it as stolen to the police, since I had parked in a parking lot of a business near the my high school that my friend's dad owns (I have permission to park there, since school parking is over crowded) and not on school property (thus I have not violated any laws or school policies or anything). They managed to find the kid who did it, but the stupid fucker had been unable to break my gun case open so he just threw it away and, because today is the worst fucking day of my life, when he took us to the dumpster that he had thrown it in, it turns out it was empty because it was fucking trash day in that neighborhood. Had the police officers not been there, that kid would have next woken up in a hospital two weeks from now after I had beat him into a coma. Best part is the kid was high, on probation and had a warrant out for his arrest because he skipped a bunch of probation check-in things or whatever the fuck it is you do on probation, I was too occupied with not committing 1st degree murder to pay that much attention. I'm going to do everything I can to make sure this fucker pays though.

They ID'd him off school security cameras the watch the parking lots because he walked WITH MY CASE AND HAMMER IN HIS HANDS, TO HIS CAR, and then watched him SMOKE POT IN THE PARKING LOT, then he walked off carrying my gun case.

Oh I am. I'll even resort to emotional trauma if I really have to. I'm taking him to civil court, though my lawyer has helped me out with a great plan, if he just pays me $2000 for the damages (which covers the quote on fixing my window from a car garage, and since I'm doing it on my own, it'll be even cheaper. It also covers a good chunk of the cost of that gun and case and shit, which was well over $700.)
and to pay my lawyer for his lawyer stuff.

Yea, PDW. I was thinking personal defense rifle.
I do like the look of the GHK. And WA-compatible sounds like heaven right now.
Though I hate how the mags cost $50 each, the WE ones aren't much better at $40 but it's at least a bit less. Oh well though, you pay for quality, go big or go home.
Guess there's actually some cheaper mags, I refuse to buy the KA ones though.
