Have to say kinda disappointed with the ending although it was still enjoyable. Now the wait for the OVA begins.

Also kinda disappointed with the way [sp]they handled Nui and Ragyo's deaths, I mean I wanted a last fight with Nui and the Elite Four and Ryuko and Satsuki against Ragyo but instead all we got was that both of them killed themselves, and how they never showed that starching bullet again.[/sp]

Satsuki barely did anything, it seemed like the Elite Four were gonna get a fight with Nui but they threw that away when Nui killed herself and the Nudists basically got mocked with their final transformation.[/sp]

The final battle had to be in [sp]space[/sp] didn't it. Final battles ALWAYS end up there. Seriously. Every time.

Personally, I think there should have been more to the ending, but what's there is still awesome. The problem is that they had to squeeze everything into a regularly sized episode, so once again, things went too fast and not everything that "should" have happened had time to happen. I still found it to be pretty satisfying though.

I find the lack of [sp]scissor blade decapitations disappointing[/sp] [sp]In fact, Ryuko finally putting the two scissor blades together got pretty anticlimactic[/sp]

Man, it feels so weird when they use music you've been hearing every episode for the climax of the season.

[sp]With all the nods and winks towards various Gainax anime, I'm half surprised, half disappointed they didn't pull a straight up Gainax ending.[/sp]
