I kinda find it funny how people were talking negatively on how [sp]the Satsuki/Ryuuko pairing is now incest and are complaining that there shouldn't be any more fanart of it.

First of all, fanfic writers and artists don't give a fuck- they will make up any excuse under the goddamned sun to get it past ("They are only sisters by blood, they weren't raised together!" is one of my personal favorites). Secondly, this is the second time Trigger's caused an incestuous sisterly couple- back in PSG times, Kneesocks/Scanty was pretty much canon (even worse, since they've been together all their life), and the same thing happened back then.

Really, I'm just saying how futile it is to try and bring some sense to this kind of community.[/sp]

I thought the point of the PSG thing was that it was [I]supposed[/I] to be canon. Pretty much the entire show was based around sexual shock value, and that wouldn't be out of place at all. (Also, I could've sworn that was Gainax...)

It was Gainax, but considering that Trigger is made up of a lot of the same people, the Gainax works are counted with Kill la Kill as Trigger stuff.

[i]Some[/i] Gainax works are considered Trigger works. TTGL and PSG definitely are, since they're directed by Imaishi. Some people also include FLCL since Imaishi was the character designer and animation director. But nobody includes Neon Genesis Evangelion under Trigger works.

Damn, I can't hold back the critical analysis anymore and now I feel a bit retroactively disappointed with the series as a whole. So many of the things set up earlier in the show just didn't pay off well in the end. Not enough to prevent me from recommending the show to others though.

I feel the same way. KLK is a fun show with lots of awesome moments and a good soundtrack, but it has really shallow writing, especially with characters.
