Finished watching the show yesterday and it was fantastic! Now the question is should I read the manga? Usually the manga is better but how does it compare to the anime? Is it worth reading is what I'm asking really?

most of the time the source material is the best, in this case the source material is the anime the manga is nothing special

You know what I just noticed about the first episode? The elite 4 and Satsuki are trying to find out who Ryuko is and they mention that the scissor cut through a Goku uniform. Ryuko never used the scissor blade to cut a Goku uniform until AFTER that scene (she did fight mr. boxer but she was never able to cut his goku uniform until the next day because he was literally beating the shit out of her).

Of course, that still makes it silly for them to act surprised about it happening later.
