Decided to stay up tonight to finish the last few episodes of Gurren Lagann. Needless to say, I have a bit of a lump in my throat right now.

This is pretty much turning into a general trigger/gainax thread with how much ttgl and Eva are being brought up. (Perfectly ok with this tho)
Klk is done so of course content for it will be quite low now
I should probably watch ttgl, the only thing i have ever seen from it was the whole drill the heavens thing and that Yoko girl

In unrelated anime news I just received a box of 30 random anime DVDs. This may have been a bad choice; I don't recognize most of these at all, nor did I get any full sets.
Why are people obsessed with Jakuzure.

She never really had enough character development to make her interesting to me. Maybe people are filling in for her, I don't know.

I legitimately don't get it either, not even kidding. I think its just her voice is kinda funny.
Yeah yeah, nani sorbet is funny, but they never did enough past the flashback and her few fight scenes. Would be nice to see her as less of a mook and more of a character. Same goes with the others (less so with Gamagori, he was more developed.)
Gamagori is probably my favorite elite four character. I liked seeing his character develop. He went from a hardass, to an honorable hardass, to one of the most respectable people in the show.
Yeah, they definitely knew they had a golden, memorable character after the first episode.
Okay so here's my take on The 4 amigos:
I actually think Sanageyama (despite getting shafted hard) was actually well developed for a supporting character with the whole blind thing. Also his design kept getting dorkier/cooler at the same time
Gamagoori was great from start to finish. End of Story.
Jakuzere had a very good dynamic with the other 3, despite not having too much come from her development wise (though in the end she does hold her own in a fight fantastically)

He hardly fought but he was pretty important later on for a lot of backstage shit like hacking into satellites and other jazz.
His fight wasn't even a whole episode and was just about a quarter of it

I feel like I'm missing something because I stopped watching this show right about the time where Ragyo was introduced and Satsuki was touched by her mother in the bathtub.
I'm not a conservative guy, but... I just couldn't watch past that and the fact it was being played for laughs. I mean, she was pretty much being molested. The rest of the things I could look past because they were taking fanservice to a ridiculous level, but when that bathtub scene happened I just had to stop and go watch something else.
Is there more of that in the show? Can I watch the rest safely?
