Why would you skip through the first episode of anything? The first episode is literally prepping you for the rest of the series so why the hell would you skip through it?
Also this show is nothing like Panty and Stocking, not even close. The only way it's even remotely close is in sexualization and even then Panty and Stocking took it to completely different levels.

Just watched two of the Evangelion films (1.11 and 2.22), I really want to watch 3.33 but a dub isn't out yet. I must say I prefer the movies way more than the original series and hope the movies avoid some of the stuff the series did wrong...

Evangelion 1.11 and 2.22 are actually really good, I haven't seen 3.33 because the dub isn't released yet but I enjoy it way more than the series because they changed pretty much everything.
