Eh actually that whole dub seemed pretty lackluster aside from Mako.
I don't understand why they decided to do an eng dub for the opening..
Actually they just used Sapphire's rendition of Sirius. [editline]30th May 2014[/editline] Kinda bugs me how they use Gurren Lagann soundtrack

I rewatched the dub trailer I was hoping "Senkets" was just a mistake. But Mako introduced herself as "Mako Mankansho" isn't it supposed to be "mankanshoku"
I rewatched the dub trailer I was hoping "Senkets" was just a mistake. But Mako introduced herself as "Mako Mankansho" isn't it supposed to be "mankanshoku"
She did say Mankanshoku. The "oku" part is hard to hear and hardly pronounced but she definitely says it.
Is it just me or did Senketsu sound a lot like Kamina? Inumuta and Nonon are perfect imo, Gamagoori is amusing to listen too. No opinion on Mikisugi yet, will have to wait until nudestu.
-snip-
here is the cast as it should have been patrick warburton as gamagoori jerry seinfeld as sanageyama jon heder as inumuta this VA as nonon, you can't fix perfect sarah jessica parker as ragyo sarah silverman as satsuki whoever voiced link in OoT as ryuko since she basically just yells a lot and r lee ermey as senketsu [editline]30th May 2014[/editline] send me my check in the mail please
i posted my dream klk cast before
Snoop Dogg voices Senketsu Or hell, I propose Pimp la Pimp Kanye West, after the death of his mentor 2Pac comes to Compton High, a fierce school ruled by the big OG's themselves, Dr. Dre and his crew. Haven't thought out who everyone would be, but Nonon would be Eminem. After starting a beef with Dre and his crew (and getting his ass kicked), Kanye goes to his old crib, and finds Snoopketsu there, a talking bong that can make you do some wicked shit And along the way Kanye also befriends Jay Z, a young student at the school living in the slums.
i don't know why i need to keep reminding you guys
Is that.... Gilbert Godfried? :v: I can see that it's photoshopped, but now I'm gonna have to watch this show.
The dub for TTGL was actually really good.
hot blooded mecha doesn't sound good in english.
i don't know why i need to keep reminding you guys
you only need to say that once gilbert huehehueehu no
i doubt i'm the only one, but i chose to use the japanese audio for TTGL and i don't feel like i've missed out by not waiting for the english dub for KLK it just feels like it will always be...off
TTGLs dub was p. ok but the original VAs are so fuckin good also if you use subs you dont have to endure SEEMOAN in english cause that makes no fucking sense!!!
I personally like both the dub and the sub just because they're both really good. I wouldn't have bothered with the sub if it hadn't been for Lagann-hen.

The only dub I like is the P&S one
My Kill La Kill dream dub Nicolas Cage as Ryuko Steve Buscemi as Satsuki John Malkovich as Ragyo John Cusack as Mako Con La Kill
Steve Buscemi is really more of a Nonon
I think the reason TTGL's dub was great was because of Leeron's voice
The TTGL dub makes me cringe.
I think the reason TTGL's dub was great was because of Leeron's voice
really? that was the dealbreaker for me, I couldn't stand it. goddamn tropetastic Camp Gay to the max
I think the reason TTGL's dub was great was because of Leeron's voice
one of the very few steve blum roles that doesn't sound like steve blum
I dunno why anyone would watch things outside of their original language if given the option to watch subs. Not just in a stupid weeaboo way, any foreign media in general. Good dubs are an exception not something to be expected. Most of the time I watch something with dual audio and don't switch the audio fast enough the English dub always sounds ridiculous and low budget compared to the original language.

I for one cannot watch the classic Cartoon Network shows in English, for example, I always find things the dub did better. Same goes for Nick shows (Fairly OddParents, Jimmy Neutron and Avatar have some awesome dubbing and I often find myself mixing up the English and Portuguese voices of the characters when thinking about them) and some animes like Dragon Ball.
one of the very few steve blum roles that doesn't sound like steve blum
Steve Blum has done tons of roles that aren't his gravely voice, you just can't tell that it's him because he's got really good range and can do high pitched squeaky voices really well. He's good on all ends of the scale, it's just that he keeps being hired to do the gravely voice.

Regardless i think TTGL has quite a good dub compared to some i've seen, i think we can agree that Cromartie's is the best of all though. [sp]Besides Bible Black of course.[/sp]
