[sp]Not a lot for the wait, but definitely awesome either way
I guess that this really is the end of KLK isn't it?[/sp]
So what are [sp]they just gonna leave that spar between Sanageyama and Satsuki unresolved??[/sp]
My favorite part was when [sp]Inumuta beat his past self by turning him off and smashing his head with a keyboard.[/sp]
That was definitley the best joke in there, i swear
That was pretty good. So is this the end for real now?

No, NOW we wait for the rest of the dub to come out and commentate how it holds up
[sp]I like how The Mankanshoku family just puts their house on the truck[/sp]
Gnnnh I want to click the spoilers to know how it ends to see if I can be hyped for more or cry in a featal position until something else that is as awesome as this comes to illuminate my life.

Really doubt their next show will be nearly as good. I don't have very high hopes at least.

Sounds like a pretty bland summary.
I hope I'm proven wrong.

The sub I got from /a/ was in an mkv format, fortunately I managed to do some codec shit and got it to work.
trigger got off to a great start with kill la kill but now they gotta pay their dues with shitty light novel adaptations and stuff. that's just how it goes. ninja slayer is gonna be fucking sick though
Well, that sure was [sp]a Deus Ex Machina ending. Suddenly the entire place is a giant mecha, and suddenly the scissors duplicate their mass thousands of times, expanding like a swiss army knife.
Ah well, I'm happy knowing the scissors were finally, succesfully used as scissors. Plus near-tearjerker moments with Senketsu.[/sp]
I guess it's a weird way to wrap up things... But if it works, ah welp.
I feel like this OVA was made so they could do the stuff that they didn't originally have time for. Would have been great if they had managed to fit it into the original ending of the show.

A weird ending for a strange anime that even calls their characters out on being weird
It sounds really fitting when you think about it

I'm actually glad they finally got to do the [sp]school mech thing. Weren't people expecting it originally anyway, what with the perimeter of the school looking like arms and hands?[/sp]
Also [sp]Ryuko's hair sucking up fakesuki's Life Fibers was perfect[/sp]
Would I be crucified if I admit I didnt enjoy that one bit? I mean I get what they were trying to accomplish, I just felt like it was really sloppily done. It felt like 30 minutes of asspulls. It left me wholly unsatisfied. It had some funny moments but the overall message of redemption and new beginnings was cheapened by a really poorly done plot with elements that came out of nowhere.

Just watched the Ova
From a narrative position, it's really bad. They didn't have time to have any conflict that had emotional impact so everything just kinda sloshed together. This made it feel rushed and emphasizes how everything doesn't really fit into the cannon too well since episode 24 did a good job at sealing the series off.
On the other hand, sometimes it's just nice to see beloved Characters again. [sp]I'm still hella disappointed Senketsu didn't come back as a scarf or something. I just wanted to witness his personality again not just some vision-ghost-jesus nonsense.[/sp]
I had fun overall, and that bit with [sp] Inumuta and the keyboard smashing was best. [/sp]

Gonna have to disagree there. I think it's a much more satisfying conclusion than the actual final episode. The original ending felt extremely abrupt. Though I do agree that part the conflict in the OVA felt slightly forced. The thing with the [sp]life fiber-created "past selves" or whatever[/sp] was fanfiction-tier, but I did like [sp]Hououmaru coming back and actually being fleshed out a bit[/sp]. I also like how the overall theme of the OVA is "look at how much better we've become", particularly in regards to Satsuki.
Although the sheer amount of ridiculous ass-pulls was pretty obnoxious this time.
[sp]Nonon Sound Negation? What the fuck?[/sp]
