Yea math isn't always perfectly related to real life. Just like I can't have imaginary one apple, or negative one apple.
I can ride my bike from my home to my workplace and arrive there on time. Your theory is fatally flawed.

the the roy
Uh-oh, facepunch is trying to do science again...
The lines they approach but do not cross are called asymptotes, they're a basic mathematical concept. This thread is for people in grade 9 or lower.
the the roy
Yet again, did I say I was intelligent?
Yet again, did I say I was intelligent?
You are not.
By dividing the distance you travel while moving at a constant velocity into smaller and smaller pieces, you are simultaneously dividing the time taken to travel that distance. When you are only .000001 meters away, the time it takes to cover HALF of that distance is extremely small as well. The amount of time it takes to cover these distances is approaching zero, just as the distance approaches zero. It's an infinite limit or series, you'll cover these extensively in Calculus 2 or whatever the equivalent is outside of the U.S. The end result is that the series "converges" at a certain value which is equal to the amount of time taken to reach your destination.
For one thing, the graph cannot represent real world problems because it is only representing 2 axises
Yet again, did I say I was intelligent?
Not to be a douche, but you should go learn about this stuff before you start coming up theories on it.
Not to be a douche, but you should go learn about this stuff before you start coming up theories on it.
I meant in grammar...
I meant in grammar...
well you're not so good in math either it seems You don't seem to grasp the concept of infinity.
Why does Facepunch have to get into fights all the time over ridiculous stuff like grammar?

OP fails at Infinite series.
I think he's saying you csn never ever be quite at one measured point eactly. There's alyways some tiiiiny degree of innacuracy
well you're not so good in math either it seems You don't seem to grasp the concept of infinity.
Infinity is the placeholder for an unreachable value, for you can never reach the last number, as it doesn't exist, so infinity is used to express relation, limits, and such. It is a variable of sorts.
Not to be a douche, but you should go learn about this stuff before you start coming up theories on it.
hypothesis, not theory you dumbshit
He tried dividing by zero and failed.

Fuck dividing by zero, try dividing infinity by infinity.
Fuck dividing by zero, try dividing infinity by infinity.
You get one theorically
You get one theorically
Nope, you get an indeterminate answer, because you can't tell if the two infinities are the same.
Nope, you get an indeterminate answer, because you can't tell if the two infinities are the same.
Well, you got a point there.
i still dont get what the fuck you guys are talking about. im no good at math either. so be kind to explain :D
i still dont get what the fuck you guys are talking about. im no good at math either. so be kind to explain :D
Sure thing. Well, it comes that when you divide a number with another number, you'll get 1 always. The problems is that you can't divide 2 infinite quantities because they aren't the same. (I bet you don't understand this shit.) But when I think of the OP it reminds me of Half-life. Not the game, but a radioactive element half life(I don't remember it's full name) It means that if their life was 1.00 their half life would be 0.50 then its half life would be 0.25, then 0. 125....
They need to do way instain mother> who kill thier babbys. becuse these babby cant frigth back? it was on the news this mroing a mother in ar who had kill her three kids . they are taking the three babby back to new york too lady to rest my pary are with the father who lost his chrilden ; i am truley sorry for your lots, but i digress.

He brings up a good point.
