Well, my question wasn't posted that clear the first time.
I wanted to hear hybridisation of the 2s with the 2p orbitals. Simple superposition of the wave functions. Which is actually one of the first things you learn in basic chemistry (at university).

I've never understood why must we learn those orbitals, aren't there a lot more important things in chemistry than learning the spdf thingies.
Hey speaking of those orbitals... according to Hugh Everett's Multiple Worlds Interpretation, is there a universe in existence where physicists have yet to observe an electron in its orbital?

Without the orbitals, you can't explain the bonds properly. Especially when you are going to construct new molecules, e.g. in pharma industry, you'll need this knowledge.
But yeah, for normal chemistry you often don't care about this but it's not negligible.
