I hope they don't expect it to make it as a gaming platform (Crash bandicoot in the picture). It'd be awkward as fuck, like playing a Game Gear, or that other retardly huge hand held back in the day. Sony does make good devices that are well designed and last. So I don't doubt they can pull this off. Though I wonder why now? Tablets have existed for years and now that Apple has the iPad out Sony wants to compete? That's the only problem I have with Sony. They should stop trying to compete with everyone and just stick to one thing.
Sony has always been trying to compete with everybody. Even when they stick to one think, they try to saturate with it with a bunch of underdeveloped features.
Tablets are not the future of gaming, silly Sony.
Sony should make a PC :v: Now with SONY OS Pls don't jailbreak.
RIDGEEEEEEEEE RACERRRRRRRRRRRRRR
they look like something a woman would put in her purse. the dual screen tablet looks like a makup kit when closed :wtc:
How about fixing PSN instead of releasing an something worse than the iPad
It runs Android so it's already better than the iPad
Xperia Play was a step in the right direction with the PSP Phone idea, but the hardware was shit apparently. And I just can't play any of those touch joysticks games, I need a real controller for that. [editline]26th April 2011[/editline]
It runs Android so it's already better than the iPad
Let's not start this..
Touchscreen controls for gaming are extremely awkward. I don't see this tablet going very far. [editline]26th April 2011[/editline]
It runs Android so it's already better than the iPad
Android and iOS both have their strong-points and weak-points.
Would be OK for turn based games like Final Fantasy.
basically, only game i even bother emulating is pokemon and FF
basically, only game i even bother emulating is pokemon and FF
Only RPG's would work, really.
this actually looks worth my money... [editline]29th April 2011[/editline] i think it's kind of stupid how they made two different tablets
Sony needs some success, they've been quite unlucky in the hand-held department.
Tablets! :argh:
I bet the controls will be awkward and unresponsive as fuck.
usb controller?

It's exactly like the Mac, locked to the same SHIT, overpriced hardware.
I don't see tablets for gaming. Phones sure, tablets? Nope. At least phones have the potential to use buttons, not that it matters to your average Joe who won't be buying a 3DS or NGP over a smartphone.
*Design is subject to change
We all know sony can't program worth shit when it comes to integrated web browsers (Memory leaks every ware lolololololol), and their supported video codec selection sucks. What's up with all the lazy ports? Where are the new games?
Only $250* *Excludes money stolen from your bank account
Is that the first or the second Crash Bandicoot game?
Crash Bandicoot, fuck yeah.
That's a port of cb1 tho. A new naughtydog cb would be nice.
I was hoping that they would make something to compete with the new Nintendo console.
