I didn't like Dark Knight that much after the hype died down. It's a good movie but the plot is just.. Insane-predictable. Why it's heralded as a pinnacle of filmmaking is beyond me. I absoloutely DETESTED Avatar, I almost vomited in the cinema from how ridiculously generic and overbearing it was in its "OMG SAEV OUR PLANET DRINK YOUR OWN URINE AND GORW UR OWN GARDEN" anvil. I don't care for The Godfather, and while it looks pretty good and appears to be amazing in style and cast, i just can't get past the insane runtime for it. I don't like the LOTR trilogy as much as everyone else. It's not bad, but it wasn't UBER AMAZIN LOLSS!!! I really. REALLY. REALLY. DETEST. SERENITY. JOSS WHEDON CAN GO FUCK HIMSELF WITH A RETRACTABLE ELECTRIFIED BATON, THE NO-GOOD RIGHT-WING ANVILLICIOUS BASTARD. Sorry for that. I just hate anything that has a political message and tries to pass it off as oooh bang bang bang scifi and cgi. And for that matter, I hate most CGI scifi movies, What happened to practical effects, people!? [editline]10:15PM[/editline] I also found Inglorious Basterds' insane runtime and ridiculously long dialogue for a fucking tarintino movie, which are mostly just gore and bloodfests. unbearable.
Only time I've been bored during a movie was the start of Titanic.
I may be in the minority here (I'm not sure), but Titanic is my favorite movie. The beginning is an excellent example of how music can really set the mood, it's so eerie (random piano notes when they're at the piano, etc.) You guys may dissagree with me, but it's just my opinion.

Dude have you even seen Reservior Dogs and Pulp Fiction? Those actually had less violence than Inglourious Basterds did. The only gorefest movie tarintino made was Kill Bill vol. 1 [editline]06:22PM[/editline] like 84% of pulp fiction was talking! I haven't seen it recently so I dunno how I'd feel about it today.

And for that matter, I hate most CGI scifi movies, What happened to practical effects, people!?
Umm serenity used practical effects wherever possible due to its limited budget, only using CGI when it was absolutely needed. Not to mention the movie wasn't built around the political message, and what political message there was generally amounted to 'You can't take away people's right to be assholes'. Firefly was great precisely because it was incredibly sexist and full of outdated values, it was a fucking Space Western. In fact, I'd say it was bastards like you, who didn't get what the show was trying to do that contributed to the show's cancellation. I say this because a lot of people seem to have just watched Kill Bill, which contains incredibly long scenes of absolute slaughter, and based their entire opinion on Tarantino's films on that, where in reality his films are great when they're not violent. The ever present threat of violence is always there, it helps build the tension, but the action scenes in most of his movies are usually seconds long, not 10 minute long slow motiony 300 style shit.
It was a good movie. Not deserving of the profits it got, but it was a far better action blockbuster than Transformers 2, though I did find myself rooting for the humans more rather than the stupid hippy aliens. They had fucking mechs with six foot long swords, as a nerd I know my loyalties lie with the mechs. [editline]01:15AM[/editline]
I hate the movies of Quentin Tarantino. I got fucking attached to the prawn and his son, so when the finale came the tension was fucking unbearable because all these characters were so awesome and I really didn't want them to die.
Juno was an abomination.
It was hipster trash
I also loved Titanic. I have no idea why but I just enjoyed the movie. I never get tired of it.
I like the Dawn of the Dead remake more than the original.
I went into Mad Max expecting it to be the incredible grandfather to Fallout 1 and 2 like everyone said it would be. By the time the credits rolled, all I had to say was, "I just wasted $2 renting this." In fact, I'd go so far as to say all of the Mad Max movies were dull.

Now.
dark knight was incredibly overrated
I hated Lord of the Rings so much that i never watched the other 2 or the last hour of the first film. I also enjoyed what are apparently terrible films like Drop Dead Fred and Street Fighter.
I also enjoyed what are apparently terrible films like Drop Dead Fred and Street Fighter.
Ah, but street Fighter was so bad it was good, that zip wire fight with Bison at the end was hilarious "QUICK, CHANGE THE CHANNEL!"
tarantino movies are amazing with some cheap pizza or something I just sit on my couch while eating a cheap takeout, while uma therman kills 50 ninjas.
Juno was an abomination.
Ellen Page was pretty good in it, but otherwise it was a bit shit. [editline]08:06PM[/editline]
I hated Lord of the Rings so much that i never watched the other 2 or the last hour of the first film.
I really don't like LOTR. I honestly tried to like it, but it was just shit.
Ellen Page was pretty good in it, but otherwise it was a bit shit.
I quite like the feel of the film, Ellen Page is good but the film just feels well made from the music to the pacing.
I really don't like LOTR. I honestly tried to like it, but it was just shit.
It is a marmite film (love it or hate it), if you can get over how far up its own arse it can seem it really is a good film. Oh and QT should be judged on all his films, not just Kill Bill. Resi Dogs really is unique as is a strong film on dialog alone.
I actually really liked Juno. I did really hate the hipster lingo everyone was throwing around which I didn't understand. It was like watching a foreign movie at times.
It wasn't the worst film I've ever seen, in fact it was pretty OK, but I can't understand why it's lauded as a masterpiece. I mean, it has a lot of individually funny moments, Juno's family is pretty hilarious, particularly J.K. Simmons as her dad, but as a complete film I was underwhelmed.
Avatar sucked donkey balls. Two hours of fucking prancing through the forest having fairy sex with blue elves. And the 3D looked shit too, like how it looks shit in every movie.
Toy story 3 Was fucking terrible
Toy story 3 Was fucking terrible
:frog:
The Hangover was bad.
No matter what people I know have said, I thought Human Traffic was an entertaining movie.
People are saying that Zombieland is like, the greatest zombie movie ever or one of the greatest movies of the year, but I thought it wasn't that great. It was okay but just not great. Same with Benjamin Button. I just thought that movie was dull.
I see why people hate it, and while I can't say it's the best zombiefil mever (orgianl Dawn of the Dead) it was a lot of fun.
dark knight was incredibly overrated
excuuuuuuuuse me also, everyone In my homeroom class said Avatar was unoriginal, stupid, and highly overrated Actually, it was unoriginal, brilliant, underrated, and THE CROWNING MOVIE OF AWESOME!!!!!!!!! [editline]09:08PM[/editline]
Out. Now.
ignore the troll, if you argue, he wins
I didn't like Zombieland. Less zombies, more talking and driving. I like Avatar as a story. Yes it was a pretty generic main plotline. But I liked all the little new details they added. I actually liked Paranormal Activity.
Shutter island was utter shit with the most predictable ending in cinematic history. The fucking trailers completely blew the ending for anyone with half a brain, the first 15 mins of the movie just confirm it. Fuck that movie and fuck Leonardo DiCaprio and his fucking stale acting. In fact, Leo dick's shitty acting and fugly face is the reason I've not seen Inception yet. [editline]04:15AM[/editline]
Toy story 3 Was fucking terrible
:frog:
The Reader. [editline]02:18AM[/editline]
Toy story 3 Was fucking terrible
YOU, MY FRIEND ARE A DENSE MOTHER FUCKER. Really? It may have taken a while, but fuck, dude. It's my favorite movie of the year so far along with Inception.
The Twilight movies are really not that bad.
actually love the star wars prequil's also really liked avatar
Batman Begins. Seriously, this movie blew, they just payed everyone in the world (save for me) to say it's good.
