Commiting Movie Viewer Suicide (confessing opinions opposed to high acclaims for movies.)

I thought Slumdog Millionaire was pretty shitty.
Superbad is probably my favorite movie of all time.
Avatar.
it's the most unoriginal film I've seen in a very long time, and honestly very boring. I had the entire story figured out by the first third of the movie. the only way in which it can be praised is in the new methods of CG it used.
and, although this is not exactly related, and probably quite obvious, the imdb top 250 list is bullshit.
and stargate has gone on far too long. it was an interesting concept at first, but it turned to shit very quickly.
and lost is way too convoluted to be interesting.
People at my school thought Bruno was funny.
Do you mean the second Star Wars movie or the fifth Star Wars movie?
:smug:
Oh go jump in a hole
[editline]05:14PM[/editline]
Also: I didnt like THe Day the Earth stood still (or world, came out 09 i think)
I saw The Road with a few friends and they hated it, saying it was boring, and they hated the son, but I liked it. It really captured the mood of post-apocalyptia
I like Independence Day
i did not particularly enjoy scarface, i dunno what all the hype is.
control your opinion, mesa, don't rage!!!!
Sorry to say, but I didn't like the Godfather movies. They were extremely dull in my opinion.
District 9 was shit. The Aliens were just people with exoskeletons, none of the characters were even remotely believable, and the plot simply didn't make sense. The only thing it had going was the special effects.
I think you mean Avatar.
[editline]08:13AM[/editline]
... apart from the bit about exoskeletons.
Also: I didnt like THe Day the Earth stood still (or world, came out 09 i think)
That's because it was a terrible film. Go and watch the original if you get a chance.
Actually, the only one I really liked was Resurrection and that was because it had action. I found the movies incredibly unscary and the shooting was boring. At least the first one had suspense
Sorry, Resurrection was the worst one.
Please come again.

To all the people who are saying Avatar is shit, I think you're missing the point.
Personally I saw it as a movie you don't think too much about. When I was watching it I was just watching the movie and not thinking about what was probably going to happen. I'm sure if I was thinking ahead I wouldn't have liked it nearly as much.
I generally don't like movies like that, but I like just sitting back and watching a movie every once in a while.
The Hangover
I haven't seen much of it yet, but from what I have seen, Dr. Strangelove is rather dull and unfunny.
I was gonna say "watch it and then say that" but judging by what opinions you have of some movies there and why, Dr. Strangelove probably wouldn't entertain you because it's very tongue-in-cheek clever humor that would not appeal to your simplistic sense of humor
Watchmen was terrible and had a stupid convoluted story with a huge anti-climax.
This.
Star wars episode I was good.
the only good shaky cam movie is blair witch projet, scary fucking shit
Comic book movies just always suck
except for THE GOD DAMN BATMAN
I don't like Serenity.
Yeah I thought it was mediocre.
I am Legend was great at first with a good back-story but then turned into a shitty action film with a terrible ending. This happens to way too many post-apocalyptic films.
Sorry, Resurrection was the worst one.

Resurrection was okay. not as bad as 3, but not as good as 1 or 2. if you ask me, it's main redeeming factor is the small "philosophical" bits about call.
Sin City sucked, the style was original sure, but a grey turd would be original too for that matter.
Avatar sucked, funny that people bash Transformers 2 (which sucked too) for being only about explosions and pretty effects and then go crazy about Avatar when it's the same thing. Story sucked and had that typical hippie message.
I liked 1408.
There. I said it.
1408 creeped me out through my first watch, but i enjoyed it.
[editline]03:32PM[/editline]
the fuck you on
did you even see the fucking dog
Oh yeah, I hated transformers but think Bad Boys and Bad Boys 2 are alright. I'm not sure if it's actually funny, or I'm laughing at the corniness of it all, but in that first scene where they're disguised as klansmen, then Michael Bay decides to apply copious amounts of slowmo when they throw the robes off, and to top it off, Martin Lawrence says 'Aw damn, it's the nigras' I nearly fell out of my chair it was so amazing.
[editline]01:30AM[/editline]
I hated it more than Episode 1, but only barely. The horrible romance scenes and the awful dialogue just pushed me over the edge.
Bad Boys 2 is amazing, I mean it's an action movie, meant to be abit over the top, it's got its serious parts especially "shit just got real", I love every part of it.
I found Drag Me To Hell pathetic
Actually, the only one I really liked was Resurrection and that was because it had action. I found the movies incredibly unscary and the shooting was boring. At least the first one had suspense
How the hell do you like Resurrection and NOT Aliens? Resurrection IS SHIT.
I am Legend was great at first with a good back-story but then turned into a shitty action film with a terrible ending. This happens to way too many post-apocalyptic films.
This was meant to be the ending.
http://www.spike.com/video/i-am-legend-original/2949588
In fact it's the whole reason the film is called I Am Legend, but this ending was called 'Controversial' and wasn't as well liked. So it would seem that reconciling with your enemies is more controversial than blowing them up.
The film was building to this as well, the infected setting traps to show they were intelligent and such, and to the creatures Robert Neville is the legend, admittedly it could be seen as controversial because he didn't find a cure, but still, it is the point of the source material that got changed.

What special effects? OH you mean Visual (digital) Effects.

yeah, I read the book after seeing the movie and I was then very disappointed with the film, I liked the book ending alot better. how the hell was that controversial? It makes no sense.
but book-movies are always disappointing compared to the books they're based on.
I found Paranormal Activity to be shite, it was in no way scary or even attempting to be scary, the story was compleate shite aswell the acting was bad.
It was an allround shite movie.
I watched Bladerunner and Stalker
They're extremely boring
I regret ever buying Blade Runner.
It's boring as shit.
fucking prawns
screw you buddy, that movie was pumped with action, the special effects were nice, but didnt make the movie.
fooking prawns!
There's this one indie film called Elephant which is loved by most critics but I just thought it was painfully slow and boring. People say stuff like, "Well it's supposed to be that way, because it's supposed to emphasize that fact that it was a normal day", but I don't want to watch a movie about a normal day. I wanna see shit happen!
Also the kids in the movie are fucking stupid, which is a nice touch of realism for these times eh?
I liked Elephant.
