Commiting Movie Viewer Suicide (confessing opinions opposed to high acclaims for movies.)

I didn't care for the Godfather
It insists upon itself.
It takes forever getting in, and you spend like six and a half hours and then,
you know I can't even finish it, I haven't even seen the ending.
I have tried on three separate occasions.
I don't even know what they are talking about, it's like they are speaking another language.
I HATED The Hangover. Awful movie. Just so unfunny.
Only 20 minutes of 2001: A Space Odyssey were interesting.
Citizen Kane sucked ass.
Making a movie confusing does not make it deep. I'm looking at you, Donnie Darko.
Agreed, I just sat there with a blank look on my face through the entire movie.
Also, I liked the most recent War of the Worlds movie, the one with Tom Cruise.
Kristen Stewart is a robot.
Donnie Darko is retarded. Fucking parallel worlds technobabble bullshit.
I liked Transformers 2
Me too, I thought it was an incredible movie. I don't see why it got such bad ratings.
The Godfather makes me fall asleep by the end of the first part.
Maybe some CGI and sex appeal will heighten your interest.
Reservoir Dogs > Pulp Fiction
Casino > Goodfellas
Taxi Driver is overrated.
Into the Wild (the book) > Into the Wild (the movie)
Martin Scorsese > Francis Ford Coppola
Apocalypse Now > Apocalypse Now Redux
I don't like David Lynch movies that much, or at least not as much as everybody else does.
Also hated Stalker.
Was disappointed by The Wild Bunch.
Absolutely despised Juno.
I'm sorry, but i watched "A Serious Man" and thought it was okay, but not as great as the reviews said it was; I keep thinking that is some deeper meaning, but I really don't think I understand.
The message I got from it was stop trying to look for some divine meaning in everything, because sometimes shit just happens, and God doesn't have a plan for you.
I never go see a movie based off someone else's opinion.
Only Avatar disappointed me so far. But that's because it's pretty much pocahontas. The sequel will be awesome.
I thought Dark Knight was incoherent, confusing, and overall horrible.
I disliked Australia. It was supposed to be amazing, or so I'd heard. But...no, just no. I thought it would be about the drovers keeping the Japanese away from Australia during WW2. Instead it was mostly drama about cows, as I understood it.
I thought Dark Knight was incoherent, confusing, and overall horrible.
The Dark Knight Returns is good though. Strikes Back I haven't read, and there's mixed feelings about it; just keep in mind that it's GODDAMN BATMAN-era Miller. Batman RIP is just off-the-chain immense.
I didn't really enjoy Funny People. It seemed to go on for too long, and the plot was decent, it didn't really pick up until the end, and even at that it just ended abruptly. All in all, it was fairly average. It didn't deserve most of the praise it received.
I thought that the god father series was kind of dull and a little boring though it had it's moments, I thought Ingloirius basterds was pretty horrible, and avatar was just plain suckage. felt like dances with wolves or something.
Avatar sucked my balls

The Godfather it seems to me is a movie critics movie, if you aren't WILLING to watch the movie and THINK while doing so, you cant enjoy it. Basterds was a very story driven film, where instead of having it be all action (see Transformers 2) or all story (see The Road) it is a nice mix of the two, again you have to be willing to watch all of it. I don't understand all the Avatar hate, yes it has an environmental message, yes it has the same basic story as Dances With Wolves, but that's because the script had been sitting around for the last 15-16 years. It is still an enjoyable film with characters you can relate to and/or enjoy.
All these so called "horror" films that are meant to be scary shit are fucking useless and mainly the ones released in the last 10 years.
Same goes for most comedy films, most recent ones are unfunny as fuck and it seems they've been overdoing the same shit over and over.
i liked wild wild west
[editline]01:41 PM[/editline]
scratch that i fucking loved wild wild west
This ^^^
And I hated Star Wars Episode 1 but I quite liked 2 and 3, not as much as 4-6 mind you but they were pretty good.
I love Con Air, Speed, and The Rundown.
A lot of people complained that Death Proof was slow and boring. That's only because it came after the incredible gore and explosionfest that was Planet Terror.
Death Proof is very much in Tarantino style: A lot of smalltalk that doesn't so much progress the story as it does provide for interesting and believable characters.
I am gonna say it:
I liked Pineapple Express. It was a pretty entertaining movie.
AND I liked the Sponge Bob Movie.
There. I said it.
Most of Leslie Nielsen's comedies are said to be shit, I liked them :frown:
also @ above the Spongebob movie was fucking incredible, I haven't laughed like I laughed with it in a long time, especially the rock scene in the end, oh god
I found Aliens very boring.
Aliens is to Alien as First Contact is to Star Trek.

How is that a controversial opinion?
Spongebob is a fucking pimp.
Sorry, Resurrection was the worst one.
Please come again.

To all the people who are saying Avatar is shit, I think you're missing the point.
Personally I saw it as a movie you don't think too much about. When I was watching it I was just watching the movie and not thinking about what was probably going to happen. I'm sure if I was thinking ahead I wouldn't have liked it nearly as much.
I generally don't like movies like that, but I like just sitting back and watching a movie every once in a while.
Fucking amen to that shit, bro. Resurrection was a pile of Baboon splooge.
I might be able to agree with that except for that fact that two thirds of the movie consist of "HUMENS ARE EVIL JAKE SOOLY AND THEY WANT 2 KIL BEBEHS".
If Avatar were more like, say, Starship Troopers, in that it's just nukes and aliens, I might agree with you. But it's obvious that Avatar wasn't meant to be a straight action movie.

:C
I mean, I suppose you could say from an entertainment standpoint it was kind of boring, but :C.
An entire film crew died of cancer to bring you that movie, man.

Like the guy who goes around killing people by deliberately crashing his car.
The long version of Watchmen was just dreadful.

I did watch those movies and think about them as I watched them, but it's hard to keep focus when it's that dull. In basterds, the scene in the bar with that actress, it just dragged on, it was obvious that the officer would know that they were not german officers, instead of dragging it on for 30 minutes they could of just had the shoot out, I like story, but not to the point where there is no action of any sort, just obvious plot and almost funny humor. I liked avatar, but it just wasn't movie gold like everyone else says it is.
The Dark Knight was a terrible movie.

Go home
Avatar.
It's really not that great.
This. Avatar would've been a good movie if it weren't for James Cameron being a cunt about it. "Oh, I'm such a brilliant filmmaker watch me make millions working on a new movie for years lol. See? Told you it'd egt everyone hyped. Oh shit, look! It's now the 2nd highest grossing film now! Ha haaaa! I'm rich."
Also, Movies that Were not nearly as well received as they should have been:
Watchmen
Eagle Eye
Transformers 2 [LOL jk]
The Men Who Stare At Goats
Taking Woodstock, I guess. It wasn't as bad as they said.
Movies that were not nearly as good as they said it was:
All of the Saw Movies
Inglorious Basterds
Twilight, no shit
Clockwork Orange is overrated.
