That's because it is...
well thats p shit then
well thats p shit then
The actual point is that it's Mario in basic Unreal, were you expecting it to be anything more?
Dude have you seen Bayonetta 2? That shits just as next-gen as Bloodborne, and I'm not hating on Bloodborne. Sure the WiiU isn't quite on the same level as the PS4, but definitely more powerful than the PS3.
Bayonetta has a nice art style but saying it's next gen is just silly. As the above screenshots have shown it's far from "next gen".
Not as great as the UE4 demo like seen in OP but this also looks really sweet. But goddamn it Nintendo just had to Cease & Desist this...

Imo the WiiU is truly the best next gen console because it's the only one that offers more than simply a graphics upgrade, and it most certainly offers a graphics upgrade too.

Well, not just graphical fidelity, but the hardware in general is what makes the generation.
It is actually exactly what makes it next gen, though. Look at Watchdogs for PS4: same old shit with prettylighting, tell me that's next gen.

While this fight's going on, If they can get Mario into Unreal 4, imagine importing some Unreal 3 assets into the game. Imagine getting some Transformers in there with the Fall of Cybertron combat mechanics. Edit: It's just a thoughtful statement other than the Console War that's going on in this thread.

I mean really the 360/ps3 were a cut above their last versions due to their online capabilities

People are even arguing the WiiU offers nothing, if not the breath of fresh air that is Nintendo's amazing new games that fully utilize everything at their disposal then 60fps 1080p has to sell you.

And anti-aliasing.
The thing is, the other consoles have third-party games. And anti-aliasing.
The thing is, the WiiU has local multiplayer. And playable framerates. I guess it comes down to personal preference, and I think I've made clear that personally I prefer the WiiU.

The PS4 and Xbone may support 4 player but barely games offer it, especially not at the quality Nintendo offers, outside of Nintendo local multiplayer is basically dead. Which is sad considering that's pretty much the only I use consoles.

That is seriously the wrongest sentence I've read in months. "All first party WiiU games are 1080p and 60fps" No, nope. Not at all. - New Super Mario Bros U is 720p - Mario Kart 8 is 720p - Nintendo Land is 720p - Splatoon is 720p - Pikmin 3 is 720p "And some 3Ds games too" The 3Ds doesn't even support 1080p resolutions, it has no 1080p titles. Are you trolling? "No games on PS4 and Xbone are 60 and 1080" Hello mister wrong! I have a terribly long list of how wrong you are. PS4 games that are 60fps and 1080p: - Blacklight Retribution - CoD: Advanced Warfare - CoD: Ghosts (Unstable framerate) - Diablo 3 - Dying Light - Fifa Soccer 14 - Fifa Soccer 15 - Killzone Shadow Fall (30 in single, 60 in multi) - Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes - Metro: Redux (Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light) - MLB 14: The Show - Minecraft (lmao) - Murdered: Soul Suspect - NBA 2k14 - Outlast - PvZ: Garden Warfare - Planetside 2 - Primal Carnage: Extinction - Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 - Project CARS - Resogun - Shadow Warrior - Skylanders: Swap Force - Sniper Elite 3 - Tearaway Unfolded - Tomb Raider Definitive Edition - Trials Fusion - Trine 2 - Uncharted 4 - Warframe - War Thunder - Wolfenstein: The New Order - WWE 2k15 And here's Xbone games that are 1080p and 60: - Diablo 3 - Dying Light - Fifa Soccer 14 - Fifa Soccer 15 - Forza Motorsport 5 - Halo: Spartan Assault - Minecraft - NBA 2k14 - Outlast - Project CARS - Skylanders: Swap Force - Sniper Elite 3 - WWE 2k15 And lastly, here's Wii U games that are 1080p and 60fps: - Super Smash Bros Wii U - Monster Hunter 3G HD - Rayman Legends Any questions?
Ah my bad, honest mistake, also when I said a few 3DS games I meant 60fps not 1080p, my bad for not distinguishing. Now you excuse me I'm going to crawl into a hole and die of feeling like a moron now.
Don't 3DS games have to run in 60fps just for the 3D gimmick, since when you turn on the 3D it renders everything twice and thus the framerate drops to 30.

Which means in the end you're rendering the same amount of pixels. You don't need a high framerate to do the 3D either since it doesn't rely on active shutter glasses. (iirc it refreshes both eyes simultaneously) I'll have to read up more on this though.

Nintendo always took gameplay over graphics to be honest, it's nothing new that Nintendo is short in the graphical department, it almost always was that way. To me though Nintendo puts heart in their games a lot more than the other consoles do nowadays. Sony used to be so good at it, but now they are kind of lacking. Microsoft seemed to have never cared. :v:
- CoD: Ghosts
This one right here, delete this one. This shit is never at a stable 60fps and takes humongous dips every couple of seconds for NO REASON. It even does it on the PC and Xbone. Why the fuck it does it I don't know. Not a very good game even for multiplayer anyways so not like I care.

I'm obviously unable to test all of these games to see whether or not they run with any sort of stability.
The Wii U may not be very powerful But it has heart
The Wii U may not be very powerful But it has Smash Bros
Fixed that post for you.
The quality of the games offered on a console is completely seperate from it's power. The Wii U is very weak compared to other next gen consoles, and thus games on it rarely would be considered next gen, even if some very good games have come out on it.
