(Also note that the author is Bruce Guese, which was the name of the unmutated version of Choose Goose in Farmworld. Bruce wouldn't live to 400 years, so the Bruce from Farmworld would likely a decedent of the first one. Since the Farmworld Bruce is implied to be an unmutated version of Choose Goose, this implies that Ooo is located within the vicinity of where Anderson originally was.) Also yeah, Pendleton himself is from California so it would make sense actually.
Why do all post-apocalypse related media usually have to do with the west coast whenever America is involved?
I don't think that claim is accurate. Fallout 3 is a very widely known depiction post-apocalyptic America and is in Washington D.C. Another notable one is The Road, and its exact setting is never stated. Most apocalyptic movies also love showing New York being destroyed.
Why do all post-apocalypse related media usually have to do with the west coast whenever America is involved?
Everybody knows the west side is the best side.
Just had a talk with one of my friends about the Destiny/Creeps manor. [sp]So I pointed out that the manor that appears in Finn the Human (http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mdfn2vuXpb1rgbn79o1_1280.png) is the exact same one in The Creeps (http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mdfn2vuXpb1rgbn79o2_1280.png). But then I noticed; The house is in the same condition, in the same location, in both universes. This means that it had to have been built pre-apocalypse, since the timeline split happened at the moment of the apocalypse. In our normal universe, a big old mutagen bomb went off and destroyed literally everything (http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121107000126/adventuretimewithfinnandjake/images/thumb/6/68/S4E25_BG_After_apocalypse.jpg/640px-S4E25_BG_After_apocalypse.jpg)... but it left the manor completely untouched. When The Creeps came out, it was considered canon that the manor was built post-apocalypse, and that's why it's in perfect condition and mostly untouched. But in our alternative universe where the bomb never fell, and instead a 400-year long ice age happened, the same house is completely untouched. So I was a little confused that the same little brick manor, held up by stilts on top of a steep cliff, could survive both an ice age and a nuclear explosion, while entire downtown cities were turned into piles of rubble. Distance away from the bomb isn't the issue, since homes and vehicles hundreds of miles away from where the bomb hit were completely totaled. Not to mention the gigantic gaping hole in the side of the Earth. My friend excellently explained this by copy-pasting "different artists in different episodes" several times until I stopped trying to type. This is probably the equivalent of starting a canon debate over the background error with Simon's Crown, but it's something I couldn't help but notice. [/sp] Sorry if I'm derailing, or stretching the page with gigantic black bars.
a lot of spoiler text about a house.
Here's a simpler explanation: [sp]In the same way Finn and Jake came to be in both timelines, that that specific manor was built post mushroom war/ice age in both timelines. You have no need to justify it surviving both apocalypses for the same reason that you don't have to justify Finn and Jake surviving both timelines.[/sp] Does that make sense?
Crackpot theory of the day: Finn doesn't have a nose in the regular universe because he was a test tube baby, left in the forest by the people who created him.
Crackpot theory of the day: Finn doesn't have a nose in the regular universe because he was a test tube baby, left in the forest by the people who created him.
why would that make him not have a nose?
Hello ladies.
why would that make him not have a nose?
It was more a less a crack at the age old tale of test tube babes wouldn't have a nose/have a smashed nose from the glass tube. It's a crackpot theory because Finn has a belly button, and well, he can still smell and all that jazz.

It's not a simple cut-paste job to save time, it was redrawn for the new setting, when it wouldn't have been much more difficult to just put a different house there.
http://rendigo.tumblr.com/post/35611051270/gally-so-would-finn-have-become-the-ice-prince So someone on Tumblr drew what they think Finn would like like if he turned into the "Ice Prince". [editline]14th November 2012[/editline] thought you all might like it.
Reminds me of Howl from Howl's Moving Castle.
*Spoilers, spoilers everywhere*
I think you are making the bomb bigger deal than it really was, [sp]it was the usual mutually assured destruction by nukes, however nowhere in the series is it really implied, referenced, or said what caused quarter of the earth get obliterated. Even if every single nuke were taken from Cold War and put in one spot on Earth, it still would lack the energy to cause significant part of the planet to crack.[/sp] [editline]15th November 2012[/editline] However, I am pretty sure that somewhere in the future, this subject will be explored some way or another.
fuck the us adventure time is clearly set in japan stop thinking about this
I just watched the two first episodes of season 5. It was good and all, but it wasn't really as good as I had expected.
Personally I think Adventure Time has started it's downward slope, season 3 and 4 seemed to be lacking something special. It's just such a unique show that they can't possibly keep cool new material coming consistently for long At least regular show is still really consistent [editline]15th November 2012[/editline] if I was Pen and the others, I'd take a break and think over where I was going with the series. I would also quit while I was ahead too, not right now but soon
what they NEED is a fucking crossover movie between finn and fiona's dimensions hell I'd settle for another fiona episode, the last one was the FUCKING BEST. Arguably my favourite episode.

I watched all of this over the last couple of weeks, one of my new favourite shows. The only episode I didn't like was Fionna and Cake, though I can see why some people went nuts for it.
That does not in any way change the validity of my explanation.
They already started a plot thread with that house by putting that mysterious ghost in there. I just don't think they'd reuse it without a good reason.
